Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemandirian belajar dan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis ditinjau secara keseluruhan serta berdasarkan Kemampuan Awal Matematis (tinggi, sedang, rendah) antara siswa yang belajar melalui Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah dengan Model Pembelajaran Penemuan Terbimbing. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen yang terdiri dari kelas eksperimen yang memperoleh Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah dan Pembelajaran Penemuan Terbimbing. Populasi penelitian merupakan salah satu SMP di Kota Bandung, Propinsi Jawa Barat, dengan sampel penelitian siswa kelas VIII. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis dan angket skala kemandirian belajar siswa. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan Uji-T, uji ANOVA dua jalur dan uji Mann-Whitney U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan kemandirian belajar dan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis secara keseluruhan antara siswa yang belajar melalui model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah dengan siswa yang belajar melalui Model Pembelajaran Penemuan Terbimbing. Akan tetapi terdapat perbedaan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis berdasarkan Kemampuan Awal Matematis (tinggi, sedang, rendah). The purpose of this study was to determine the differences of self-regulated learning and increasing critical thinking skills mathematically, based on the whole and in terms of the Ability of Early Mathematical (high, medium, low) between students who get Problem Based Learning model with students who get Guided Discovery Learning model. This study was a quasi-experimental research which consists of classroom experiments to obtain Problem Based Learning and Guided Discovery Learning. The population study is one of the Junior Secondary School at Bandung City in West Java Province with a sample of eighth grade students. Research instruments include critical thinking skills test and a questionnaire scale self-regulated learning. Data processing was performed by t-test, ANOVA two lanes and the Mann-Whitney U test. The results showed that there is no difference of self-regulated learning and increasing skills of critical think mathematically, between students who learn through Problem Based Learning model with students who learn through Guided Discovery Learning models. However there are differences in increasing skills critical thinking mathematically among students in terms of the Ability of Early Mathematical (high, medium, low).
