Abstract
Karakter disiplin merupakan karakter yang harus dimiliki oleh siswa. Sikap disiplin itu dikembangkan melalui pembelajaran etika di Lembaga Pendidikan Polri. Pendidikan karakter bertujuan meningkatkan mutu penyelenggaraan dan hasil pendidikan di sekolah yang mengarah pada pencapaian pembentukan karakter dan akhlak mulia peserta didik secara utuh, terpadu dan seimbang sesuai dengan standar kompetensi lulusan. Penelitian ini diawali dengan pengamatan dan wawancara terhadap siswa dan tenaga pendidik mata pelajaran etika. Lokasi penelitian ini dilakukan di Sekolah Polisi Negara Cisarua. Objek penelitian adalah siswa diktuk brigadir Polri dan tenaga pendidik mata pelajaran etika pada SPN Cisarua. Metode penelitian ini digunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ditemukan perilaku tenaga pendidik sudah menjalankan sebagai peran tenaga pendidik pembelajaran etika dalam meningkatkan karakter disiplin akan tetapi perilaku tenaga pendidik saat kegiatan proses belajar mengajar etika kurang kreatifitas sehingga peningkatan kompetensi sikap disiplin siswa di kelas masih kurang optimum. Oleh karena itu, untuk meningkatkan karakter disiplin siswa dalam pembelajaran etika, tenaga pendidik mempersiapkan strategi belajar dengan terlebih dahulu memperhatikan kebutuhan psikologis siswa, bagaimana kehidupan sosiologis (aspek lingkungan siswa dan sekolah) dan kemampuan tenaga pendidik itu sendiri. Penelitian dilakukan di kompi A Sekolah Polisi Negara Cisarua. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, studi dokumentasi, studi kepustakaan, dan catatan lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan peranan pembelajaran etika dalam meningkatkan karakter disiplin siswa. Dari hasil wawancara masih banyak siswa yang kurang disiplindalam pembeajaran etika di kelas seperti mengantuk dan mengobrol. Namun demikian peran pembelajaran etika sangat penting diterapkan disetiap sekolah agar siswa mempunyai karakter disiplin dari hal terkecil. Kesimpulannya, peran mata pelajaran etika dapat dijadkan sebagai salah satu alternatif mata pelajaran dalam peningkatan kualitas proses pembelajaran, guna menguatkan karakter disiplin siswa di sekolah. Maka seyogyanya karakter disiplin tenaga pendidik dalam proses kegiatan belajar mengajar di kelas terus dikembangkan dalam pembelajaran etika di Lembaga Pendidikan Polri. Character of discipline is a character that should be possessed by the students. Discipline is developed through learning ethics in Educational Institution of Polri. Character building aims to improve the quality of the implementation and results of school, it leads to the achievement of character and moral values of students, integrated and balanced in accordance to the competency standards. This study begins with observation and interviews towards students and trainer of subject’s ethics. Location of this research was conducted at the Cisarua Police Public School. The object of research is the national police brigadier students and trainer of subject’s ethics at the Cisarua Police Public School. This research method uses qualitative research method. The research results found the behavior of trainer when teaching ethics are less creative to increase the competence of students in classroom, so student’s discipline are still less optimum. Therefore, to improve the character of the students in learning discipline of ethics, trainers prepare learning strategies by first noticed the psychological needs of students, how their sociological life and the ability of trainers themselves. Research was conducted in Kompi A, Cisarua Police Public School. The research results show the role of ethics learning in improving student discipline code. According to interviews are many students who lack discipline in ethics learning in the classroom such as drowsiness and chatting. However, the role of learning ethics is very important to apply in every school in orderevery student has a character of discipline towards the small thing. The conclusion is the role of learning ethics can be used as an alternative subject to improve the quality learning process, and thenreinforce character of discipline of students in school. Character of discipline of trainers in learning process should be developed in ethics learning in Educational Institution of Polri.
