Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih rendahnya kemampuan resolusi konflik siswa ketika mereka menghadapi konflik antar teman, sementara guru juga masih belum bisa menciptakan pembelajaran berbasis masalah yang berkaitan dengan penyelesaian konflik. Rumusan permasalahan pada penelitian ini adalah “Bagaimana meningkatkan kemampuan resolusi konflik siswa kelas IV SD melalui penerapan Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah?” Pelaksanaan penelitian dilaksanakan di SDN 1 Cikeusal Kabupaten Cirebon pada siswa kelas IV SD semester II yang berjumlah 30 orang siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Tindakan Kelas model Elliot melalui tiga siklus, yang setiap siklusnya terdiri dari dua tindakan. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari lembar observasi, pedoman wawancara, catatan lapangan, dan tes kemampuan resolusi konflik siswa. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan oleh peneliti, diperoleh beberapa hasil yakni kemampuan resolusi konflik dengan menggunakan proses pembelajaran berbasis masalah telah berjalan dengan kondusif, menyenangkan, dan siswa lebih antusias dan semangat. Hal ini sejalan dengan peningkatan kemampuan resolusi konflik siswa dari kriteria “Kurang Baik” menuju “Baik” dari siklus I sampai ke siklus III dengan indikator mampu mendengarkan pendapat orang lain, membaca dan memahami perasaan atau keinginan pihak lawan, berkomunikasi dengan baik dan menyelesaikan permasalahan secara damai seperti berjabat tangan ataupun berpelukan. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan kemampuan resolusi konflik siswa. Oleh karena itu, peneliti merekomendasikan bagi guru untuk menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis masalah sebagai salah satu pembelajaran bermakna dalam menyelesaikan konflik This research was based on the the fact that there is still low ability to have the resolution for conflict among students when they have conflict among friends, while the teachers still cannot create the problem based learning which relate to solve the conflict. The problem statement of this research is “How to increase the ability for conflict resolution for fourth grade students through the implementation of Problem Based Learning Model?” The research was done in SDN 1 Cikeusal Kabupaten Cirebon for fourth grade elementary students using the Classroom Research by Elliot through three cycles, which used two actions for each cycles. The research instruments consisted of observation sheet, interview guide, field notes, and ability test for conflict resolution for the students. Based on the research which was done by the researcher, some results were discovered that the ability for conflict resolution using problem based learning process has been done condusively, fun and the students were very enthusiastic and very cooperative. This is inline with the increase ability of student conflict resolution from the criteria of “Not Good” towards “Good” from cycle I until cycle III with the indicator that the students are able to listen to other opinions, read and understand feelings or the intention of the other party, good communication and solve the problems peacefully like shaking hands or hugging. It can be concluded that the implementation of problem based learning model can increase the ability for conflict resolution of the students. Based on that fact, the researcher recommended for the teachers to implement problem based learning as one of the meaningful learning in solving the conflict.
