    Abstract

    Penelitian ini berjudul “Pengaruh Kompetensi Guru oleh Kepala Sekolah Terhadap Produktivitas Kerja Guru di SMA Laboraturium Percontohan UPI Bandung”. Masalah yang dibahas yaitu seberapa besar pengaruh pembinaan kompetensi guru oleh kepala sekolah terhadap produktivitas kerja guru . Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket tertutup dan respondennya adalah guru yang berjumlah 40 orang sebagai sampel penelitian. Hasil perhitungan kecenderungan umum menggunakan Weighted Mean Score menunjukkan bahwa pembinaan kompetensi guru oleh kepala sekolah termasuk kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata sebesar 3,86 dan produktivitas kerja guru termasuk kategori sangat baik dengan skor rata-rata sebesar 4,16. Hasil uji normalitas menunjukkan bahwa variable X dan Y berdistribusi normal, selanjutnya analisis data menggunakan statistik parametrik. Analisis korelasi dapat dilanjutkan dengan menghitung korelasi, nilai korelasi variabl X dan Y yaitu sebesar -0,42. Selanjutnya koefisien determinasi yaitu Variabel X dan variable Y tidak memberikan pengaruh karena hasil yang didapat yaitu sebesar 0,18% yang berarti dianggap tidak memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan. Berdasarkan penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara pembinaan kompetensi guru oleh kepala sekolah terhadap produktivitas kerja guru di SMA Laboraturium Percontohan UPI Bandung.
    This research entitled “The Influence of Teacher Competency Fostering by Principal toward Productivity of Teacher Working at Senior High School of Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Bandung”. The problem discussed includes how the influence of teacher competency fostering by principal toward productivity of teacher working. Generally, this research aims to know the description of teacher competency fostering by principal and productivity of teacher working. This research use descriptive method with quantitative approach. The technique to collecting data use close-ended questionnaire and there are forty teacher as the respondents in this research. The calculation result of the general tendency trough Weighted Mean Score shows that teacher competency fostering by principal in good category with averages score 3.86 and productivity of teacher working in excellent category with mean score 4.16. The normality test shows that variable of X and Y have normally distributed. Analysis the data use parametric statistic. In correlation analysis through calculation of correlation, score of correlation between X and Y are -0.42. In addition, for coefficient determination includes variable of X and Y are not influence because the results is 0.18% which considered not have positive and significant influences. Based on the research, it can concluded that there is no positive and significant influence between the teacher competency fostering by principal toward productivity of teacher working at Senior High School of Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Bandung.
