Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi perbedaan perilaku agresi remaja laki-laki dan remaja perempuan yang tinggal dengan orangtua tunggal. Teori agresi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori dari Buss & Perry (1992). Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 165 remaja dengan proporsi remaja laki-laki sebanyak 71 orang dan remaja perempuan sebanyak 94 orang yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data diolah dengan menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney dan diperoleh kesimpulan (1) terdapat perbedaan antara perilaku agresi remaja laki-laki dan remaja perempuan di Kota Sukabumi yang tinggal dengan orangtua tunggal (2) tingkat perilaku agresi remaja laki-laki berada pada kategori sangat tinggi sedangkan remaja perempuan berada pada kategori rendah. Saran untuk penelitian ini, yaitu (1) peneliti selanjutnya perlu meneliti mengenai perbedaan emosi remaja yang tinggal dengan orangtua tunggal berdasarkan cara perpisahannya, yaitu bercerai dan kematian, (2) peneliti selanjutnya juga sebaiknya dapat membedakan perilaku agresi remaja dari aspek usia untuk melihat tingkat kematangan emosi seorang remaja, dan (3) peneliti selanjutnya sebaiknya meneliti mengenai perbedaan pola asuh orangtua tunggal berdasarkan gender (perbedaan perilaku agresi remaja yang diasuh oleh ibu atau ayah). This study aim to identify the differences in aggressive behavior of teenage boys and girls who lived with single parent. Theory that used in this research is Buss & Perry’s aggression theory (1992). The sample in this study amounted to 165 teenagers with the proportion of teenage boys are 71 and 94 for teenage girls who were collected by purposive sampling technique that using a quantitative approach and the comparative method. Data were processed using the Mann-Whitney technique and the conclusions are (1) there are differences between the aggressive behavior of teenage boys and teenage girls who lived with single parent in Sukabumi (2) the level of aggressive behavior of teenage boys are at very high category, while aggressive behavior of teenage girls are at low category. Suggestions for this study are (1) further researchers need to examine the differences emotions of adolescents who lived with single parent by the way their parent separation, such as divorce and death, (2) further researchers are also should be able to differentiate adolescent aggressive behavior from the aspect of age to see the level of their maturity emotions, and (3) further researchers should examine the differences of parenting style by the mother or the father.
