Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi berdasarkan hasil observasi awal di kelas IV salah satu SDN di Kecamatan Sukasari Kota Bandung. Terdapat masalah pada proses pembelajaran yang menyebabkan rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPS. Tujuan yang hendak dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah: (1) Mendeskripsikan bentuk perencanaan pembelajaran IPS dengan menerapkan pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Make a Match, (2) Mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran dengan menerapkan pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Make a Match, (3) Mendeskripsikan perkembangan hasil belajar siswa SD kelas tinggi pada mata pelajaran IPS yang menerapkan pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Make a Match pada proses pembelajarannya. Subjek yang dikenai tindakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD yang berjumlah 39 siswa pada tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 pada salah satu SDN di Kecamatan Sukasari Kota Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang mengadaptasi model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yang dikembangkan (Arikunto, 2009: hlm 16). Penelitian ini dimulai dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebanyak dua siklus. Adapun instrumen pengumpulan data berupa Alat Penilaian Kemampuan Guru (APKG) termodifikasi, lembar pedoman observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa, tes siklus dan instrumen pendukung berupa angket siswa. Data hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pada tindakan pembelajaran siklus I, rata-rata nilai kelas mencapai 69,3 dengan persentase ketuntasan berdasarkan KKM sebesar 78%. Pada siklus II, nilai rata-rata siswa meningkat menjadi 87,3 dengan persentase mencapai 94%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe make a match dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS pokok bahasan Masalah sosial di lingkungan setempat. Direkomendasikan bagi guru kelas SD terutama kelas tinggi yang bertugas sebagai fasilitator dan pemberi inspirasi bagi siswa untuk dapat mengimplementasikan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe make a match dalam pembelajarannya, karena terbukti dari penelitian ini dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih bermakna, efektif dan menyenangkan sehingga siswa akan lebih aktif, kreatif, dan bersemangat. The background of this research was based on the result of the first research in the grade four in one of State Elementary Schools on Sukasari sub district in Bandung City. There were problems in the learning process that cause the study result of the students low in Social subject. The aims that want to be reached in this research are: (1) to describe the form of the planning in learning Social subject by applying cooperative learning Make a Match type, (2) to describe the learning process by applying cooperative learning Make a Match type, (3) to describe the development of the study result of Elementary School students from grade four to grade six in Social subject that apply cooperative learning Make a Match type. The subjects of this research were 39 elementary school students grade four in period 2014/2015 in one of state elementary schools on Sukasari Sub district in Bandung city. Research method that was used in this research, was Class Action Research adopted from Kemmis & Mc. Taggart model that has been modified (Arikunto, 2009: page 16). This research started from planning step, action, observation, and reflection. This research was done as much as two cycles. Moreover, data collection instrument were modified Alat Penilaian Kemampuan Guru (APKG) or Assessment Valuation of Teacher’s Capability, observation directive of student and teacher activity sheet, cycle test, and student questionnaire as supporter document. The result of the research data showed that in the cycle I of learning action, the average of the class scores reach 69,3 with completeness percentage based on (KKM) Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal or Minimal Completeness Criteria as much as 78%. On the cycle II, the average score of the students increased into 87,3 with percentage reached into 94%. Based on the result of the research above, it can be concluded that the action of cooperative learning model typed make a match can increase the study result of students in Social subject with Social Problems in Local Environment as the main topic. It is recommended for Elementary School teachers, especially for grade four, five, and six who have responsibility as a facilitator and someone who give inspiration for the students to implement cooperative learning typed make a match in the learning action. It was proven by the result that it can increase study result of the students and make the learning action has more meaning, affective also fun, so that students will be more active, creative and have a good spirit.
