Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran proses pengambilan keputusan menunda memiliki anak pada pasangan yang bekerja. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada sepasang suami dan istri yang sama-sama bekerja.Penggalian informasi diperoleh melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara mendalam dengan metode studi kasus. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori proses pengambilan keputusan yang dikemukakan oleh Irving L. Jarnis dan Leon Mann (1977). Pengambilan keputusan merupakan hasil dari cara pemecahan masalah melalui proses peninjauan, pertimbangan dan evaluasi dari pemilihan alternatif untuk memperoleh hasil yang diinginkan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa keadaan ekonomi yang tidak stabil membuat pasangan ini memutuskan untuk menunda memiliki anak.Keadaan ekonomi yang tidak stabil membuat kedua subjek lebih berfokus pada pekerjaan masing-masing demi memperoleh keadaan ekonomi yang lebih baik lagi. Kedua subjek berharap dimasa depan keadaan ekonomi bukan lagi menjadi penghalang bagi mereka untuk memiliki anak. Kata kunci: Pengambilan Keputusan, Menunda Memiliki Anak, Pernikahan This study aims to investigate the decision-making process to postpone having children in couples who work. This study was conducted on a couple who are both working. The information was obtained throughqualitative approach using in-depth interview technique with a case study method. This study uses the theory of decision-making process proposed by Irving L. Jarnis and Leon Mann (1977). Decision-making is the result of the problem solving process by review, consideration and evaluation of alternative selection to obtain the desired results. These results indicate that the unstable economic situation made the couple decide to postpone having children. Unstable economic circumstances make the subject focus more on each other's work in order to obtain a better economic situation. Both subjects hope that in the future, the economic situation is no longer a barrier for them to have children. Keywords: Decision Making, Postponing Having Children, Marriage
