Abstract
Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas bimbingan kelompok melalui teknik storytelling untuk mengembangkan tanggung jawab peserta didik kelas VII SMP PGRI 3 Kota Bandar Lampung Tahun Ajaran 2014/2015. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan kuantitatif, dan metode penelitian eksperimen kuasi dengan desain nonequivalent pre test-post test control group design (pre test-post test dua kelompok). Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan nonrandom purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah Instrumen Tanggung jawabPeserta Didik. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistika deskriptif dengan menggunakan ukuran gejala pusat, yaitu rata-rata (mean), presentase, dan simpangan baku serta uji perbedaan dua rata-rata berpasangan (paired- t test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) sebagian besar peserta didik memiliki tanggung jawab pada kategori sedang, serta sebagian kecil pada kategori rendah dan tinggi; (2) sampel penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata skor tanggung jawab paling besar pada aspek kegigihan, diikuti oleh aspek kemampuan menetapkan tujuan yang realistis, aspek fleksibilitas, dan aspek ketekunan; (3) aspek fleksibilitas menjadi aspek tanggung jawab peserta didik yang mengalami peningkatan paling tinggi baik pada kelompok eksperimen, diikuti oleh aspek kegigihan, aspek kemampuan menetapkan tujuan yang realistis dari suatu tindakan dan aspek ketekunan; (4) bimbingan kelompok melalui teknik storytelling efektif untuk mengembangkan tanggung jawab peserta didik kelas VII SMP PGRI 3 Kota Bandar Lampung. Rekomendasi penelitian adalah sebagai berikut: (1) sekolah diharapkan menyusun kebijakan yang mendukung upaya pengembangan tanggung jawab peserta didik; (2) konselor sekolah atau guru pembimbing, rancangan program intervensi bimbingan kelompok melalui teknik storytelling dapat menjadi referensi dalam mengembangkan program bimbingan dan konseling khususnya pada bidang layanan pribadi sosial untuk mengembangkan tanggung jawab peserta didik; (3) para sivitas akademika yang mendalami bidang ilmu bimbingan dan konseling dapat menggunakan penelitian ini sebagai informasi awal mengenai kecenderungan dan dinamika perilaku yang merepresentasikan tanggung jawab peserta didik pada jenjang sekolah menengah pertama. The study aims to determine the effectiveness of group counseling through storytelling techniques to develop responsible students of grade VII SMP PGRI 3 Bandar Lampung Academic Year 2014/2015. The approach used in this research is quantitative approaches, and methods of quasi experimental research design with nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design (pretest-posttest two groups). Non-random sampling technique using purposive sampling. The research instrument used was Instruments r Responsibilities of Students. The data analysis technique used was descriptive statistics by using the size of the central symptoms, which is an average (mean), percentage, and standard deviation as well as test the average difference of two pairs (paired- t test). The results showed: (1) the majority of learners have the responsibility in the medium category, as well as a small portion at the low and high categories; (2) sample shows the value of the average score of bearing the greatest responsibility in the persistence aspect, followed by aspects of the ability to set realistic goals, aspects of flexibility, and persistence aspects; (3) the aspect of flexibility into aspects of responsibility learners who experienced the highest increase in both the experimental group, followed by the persistence aspect, the aspect ability to set realistic goals and aspects of an act of perseverance; (4) the guidance of the group through effective storytelling techniques to develop the responsibility of students of grade VII SMP PGRI 3 Bandar Lampung. Research recommendations are as follows: (1) the school is expected to develop policies that support the development of responsibility learners; (2) a school counselor or tutor, group counseling intervention program design through storytelling techniques can serve as a reference in developing guidance and counseling programs, especially in the field of personal social services to develop the responsibilities of learners; (3) the academicians who study the field of guidance and counseling can use this study as early information about the trends and dynamics of behavior that represents the responsibility of students in junior high school level.
