Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan metode diskusi terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas XI pada mata pelajaran kewirausahaan di SMK Negeri 1 Cilamaya, Kab. Karawang. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan bentuk nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Analisis data untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian menggunakan SPSS versi 21 dengan statistik non parametrik, uji beda rata-rata (Mann-Whitney U Test dan Wilcoxon’s Matched Pairs Test), gain score dan perhitungan effect size. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas eksperimen dengan menggunakan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan metode diskusi lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode ceramah. Penggunaan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan metode diskusi dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif lebih efektif dibandingkan metode ceramah. Variabilitas peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dalam mata pelajaran kewirausahaan sebesar 12,5% dapat dijelaskan (disebabkan) oleh perlakuan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan metode diskusi. The study was aim to determine the effect of the use of problem based learning (PBL) model by discussion method to increase creative thinking skills of students of class XI on entrepreneurship subjects in Cilamaya vocational high school Karawang. The study design used was a quasi-experiment with nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group. Analysis of data to test search hypotheses using SPSS version 21 with non parametric statistics, the average difference test (Mann-Whitney U Test and Wilcoxon’s Matched Pairs Test), the gain scores and effect size calculations. The results showed that the difference in improvement of creative thinking skills class students experiment with problem based learning model by discussion method was higher than the control class that used lecture method. The use of problem based learning model by discussion method can improve creative thinking skills more effectively than lecture method. Variability improvement of creative thinking skills of learners in entrepreneurship subjects can be explained by 12.5% (caused) by treatment of problem based learning model by discussion method.
