Abstract

Penelitian ini bertemakan mobilitas sirkuler pekerja perantara (istilah yang digunakan untuk menyebut jenis pekerjaan supir) luar Pulau Jawa. Pemilihan lokasi penelitian di Pasar Induk Caringin dan Gede Bage didasarkan pada pertimbangan bahwa, kedua pasar induk Kota Bandung tersebut dalam dua dekade terakhir masih bertahan menjadi salah satu pilar ekonomi Kota Bandung. Akibatnya, gelombang gerak sirkuler melintas batas provinsi yang dilakukan para mobilisan dari luar Pulau Jawa tidak dapat dibendung. Para pekerja perantara luar pulau Jawa dengan karakteristik kedaerahannya, secara alamiah menampilkan pola adaptasi pada lingkungan barunya, yang diikuti oleh perilaku-perilaku baik positif maupun negatif dan menghadirkan pula pembentukan jaringan sosial dalam lingkup yang paling sederhana hingga jaringan sosial yang lebih kompleks. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelusuri pola mobilitas, pola adaptasi, dan pola jaringan sosial pekerja perantara luar Pulau Jawa di Pasar Induk Kota Bandung. Lebih khususnya, subjek yang diteliti adalah pekerja perantara yang berasal dari Pulau Bali dan Sumatera. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif verifikatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara mendalam dan observasi. Metode kualitatif verifikatif dipilih karena, penelitian ini akan mendeskripsikan secara mendalam fenomena mobilitas sirkuler para pekerja perantara luar Pulau Jawa di Pasar Induk Kota Bandung, yang menitikberatkan pada eksplorasi temuan di lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa, pola mobilitas sirkuler pekerja perantara adalah menginap. Waktu mobilitas yang dihabiskan pekerja perantara tidak melebihi enam bulan. Pola adaptasi pekerja perantara berlangsung melalui proses internalisasi dan sosialisasi mengikuti struktur sosial masyarakat pasar. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengungkapkan bahwa, pola jaringan sosial pekerja perantara berlangsung dalam tingkat mikro dan meso.. Saran bagi penelitian ini adalah agar dapat dijadikan referensi untuk memperluas dan memperdalam wilayah kajian dengan tema mobilitas sirkuler. Selection of study sites Caringin Central Market and Gede Bage is based on the consideration that, both the main market of the city of Bandung in the past two decades remained to be one of the economic pillars of the city of Bandung. As a result, the circular waves across provincial boundaries conducted by mobilisan from outside Java can not be dammed. Workers intermediaries outside Java with locally characteristics, naturally show a pattern of adaptation to the new environment, which is followed by the behaviors of both positive and negative and also brings social networking within the scope of the simplest to the more complex social networks. This study aims to explore patterns of mobility, adaptation pattern, and the pattern of trade intermediaries social network outside of Java on Main Market Bandung. More specifically, the subject under study is the intermediary workers comes from the island of Bali and Sumatra. This study used a qualitative method verification. Data collection techniques in this study using in-depth interviews and observation. Verification of qualitative methods chosen for this study will describe in depth the phenomenon of circular mobility of workers intermediaries outside Java on Bandung Main Market, which focuses on the exploration of the findings in the field. The results showed that, the pattern of circular mobility intermediary workers are staying. The time spent on labor mobility intermediary does not exceed six months. The pattern adaptation takes place through the intermediary workers internalization and socialization processes follow social structure market. In addition , this study also revealed that , the pattern of social networking takes place in the intermediate worker micro and meso level. Suggestions for the study is for further research, this study can be used as a reference to broaden and deepen the study area with circular mobility theme .
