Abstract
Keterampilan gerak lokomotor adalah gerakan-gerakan yang menyebabkan tubuh berpindah tempat dan mengembara dalam berbagai ruang. Gerak dasar lokomotor merupakan salah satu domain dari gerak dasar fundamental (fundamental basic movement). Gerak dasar lokomotor anak TK istiqamah belum terkembangkan seara optimal terlihat dari anak yang cepat lelah ketika ektrakurikuler futsal, dan angklung. Selain itu kegiatan lokomotor jarang dilakukan baik di dalam maupun luar kelas. Permainan tradisional memiliki banyak fungsi dalam mengoptimalkan aspek-aspek perkembangan anak, baik dari segi fisik motorik, kognitif, sosial emosi, bahasa, maupun seni.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah permainan tradisional dapat meningkatkan keterampilan gerak lokomotor anak. Dengan rumusan-rumusan masalah yang diangkat yaitu bagaimana kemampuan gerak dasar lokomotor anak sebelum diberikan permainan tradisional, bagaimana kemampuan lokomotor anak sesudah diberikan permainan tradisional, dan bagaimana perbedaan yang terjadi pada anak saat sebelum dan sesudah diberikan permainan tradisional. Penelitian dilakukan di Kelompok B TK Istiqamah Bandung pada tahun ajaran 2012-2013, dengan subjek penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelompok B1 yang berjumlah 22 orang. Permainan tradisional yang dipakai adalah permainan tradisional sunda seperti balap karung, balap kelaci, sondah, balap kaleci, oray-orayan, ucing kup, kelom batok dan sapintrong. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif,denganpendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Dilakukan dalam 2 siklus dengan masing-msing 3 tindakan. Hasil penelitan menujukkan adanya perubahan yaitu saat prasiklus 1 anak (4,55%) pada kategori saat kurang, 14 anak (63,63%) pada kategori kurang, dan 7 anak (31,82%) kategori cukup. Siklus 1 kategori sangat baik 1 anak (4,55%), kategori baik 20 anak (90,90%), kategori cukup 1 anak (4,55%) Siklus II, 21 anak (95,45%) kategori sangat baik dan 1 anak (4,55%) kategori baik. Peningkatan yang terjadi dikarenakan permainan tradisional memang bermanfaat untuk meningkatkan keterampilan lokomotor anak, karena sebagian besar kegiatan permainan tradisional tersebut menggunakan otot-otot besar anak untuk bergerak, sehingga kemampuan lokomotor anak terkembangkan dengan baik.Penelitian ini selain bermanfaat bagi dunia keilmuan, juga akan memberi manfaat bagi perkembangan anak itu sendiri, bagi orang tua, serta bagi guru-guru dan dunia pendidikan anak usia dini. Kata kunci : keterampilan gerak lokomotor, permainan tradisional, anak taman kanak-kanak Locomotor skill is some movements that cause the body moves from one place to another and wander in various spaces. Basic locomotor movement is one domain of fundamental basic movement. Basic locomotor movement in the students of Istiqamah Kindergarten has not been developed optimally. It can be seen that the students are easy to get tired when they do extracurricular activity such as futsal and angklung. Besides, locomotor activities are not much be done in the classroom and outside the class. Tradisional games have many advantages in optimizing children’s development aspects in physical motoric, cognitive, social-emotion, linguistic, and arts. This research is aimed to investigate whether traditional games can improve locomotor movement skill in children. The research questions of this study are how is the skill of children’s basic locomotor movement before playing traditional games, how is the skill of children’slocomotor after playing traditional games, and how is the difference of locomotor skills in the children before and after playing traditional games. This research is conducted in Istiqamah Kindergarten Group B, Bandung on the school year 2012-2013, and the subjects are all of the students of Class B1 that is 22 students. Traditional games which are employed in this study are Sudanese traditional games such as balapkarung, balapkaleci,sondah, oray-orayan, ucingkup, kelombatok, and sapintrong. This study uses qualitative method with action research approach. It is conducted in two cycles with 3 actions in every cycle. The finding shows some changes in pre-cycle that 1 child (4,55%)in very bad category, 14 children (63,63%) in bad category, and 7 children (31,82%) in quite good category. On the Cycle 1, 1 child (4,55%) belongs to very good category, 20 children (90,90%) belong to good category, and 1 child (4,55%) belongs to quite good category.Whereas on the cycle 2, 21 children (95,45%) aree in very good category and 1 child (4,55%) is in good category. Improvement happens because traditional games are useful in order to improve children’s locomotor skill. Since most of traditional gamesuse children’s muscle to do some movements, so children’s locomotor skill is well developed. This research is useful for academic world and also for the children’s development. The parents, the teachers, and young learners education program.
