Abstract

Pendidik geografi Kota Banda Aceh beranggapan media pembelajaran selalu berkaitan peralatan elektronik seharusnya sebagai pendidik lebih peka terhadap media dan sumber belajar di lingkungan sekitar sebagai pendukung proses pembelajaran geografi seperti fenomena-fenomena yang bersifat kontekstual pada daerah lokal untuk pemahaman konsep peserta didik terkait perubahan ruang Simpang AMD Batoh. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis tentang pemahaman konsep perubahan ruang peserta didik sebelum dan sesudah serta keunggulan dan kelemahan pembelajaran metode insiden dengan media gambar/ foto dan ilustrasi dalam proses pembelajaran geografi terhadap pemahaman konsep perubahan ruang di SMA Negeri 5 Banda Aceh. Metode penelitian metode Quasi Eksperiment (Non Ekuivalen (Pre-Test and Post Test) Control Design Grup). Populasi penelitian seluruh peserta didik kelas XI IS SMA Negeri 5 Banda Aceh sebanyak 98 peserta didik, sampel penelitian sebanyak 49 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan soal test prestasi, lembar kerja siswa dan lembar observasi dan angket. Teknik analisis data dengan statistik korelasi dan rumus N-Gain. Hasil test pemahaman konsep pre-test dan post-test perubahan ruang simpang AMD Batoh pada kelas metode insiden bernilai korelasi 0.87, kelas media gambar/ foto dan ilustrasi bernilai korelasi 0.70, tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan penggunaan media gambar/ foto dan ilustrasi bernilai sebesar 82% dengan metode insiden bernilai sebesar 81.6% dalam proses pembelajaran geografi. Fhitung = 0.05 < Ftabel = 1.96, maka kedua sampel yang diteliti homogen pada taraf kesalahan α = 0,05 dan dk = (n1 – 1; n2 – 1), x^2hitung dengan dk (23-1) = 0.10 < x^2tabel = 42.796, dan dengan dk (26-1) = 0.30 < x^2tabel = 46.926, maka populasi berdistribusi normal pada taraf kesalahan α = 0,05 dan dk = (n1 – 1; n2 – 1), thitung = 0.10 < ttabel = 2.07, hipotesis pada pre-test kedua kelas berdistribusi normal dan homogen, maka pengujian hipotesis dalam penelitian diterima pada taraf kesalahan α = 0,05 dan dk = (n1 – 1; n2 – 1). Rekomendasi penelitian diharapkan kepada guru mata pelajaran geografi agar lebih mengedepankan fenomena-fenomena bersifat konten lokal untuk pemahaman konsep perubahan ruang peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran geografi. Kata Kunci : Pemahaman Konsep, Konsep Ruang, Proses Pembelajaran Geografi. The purpose of the study to analyze the changes in the understanding of the concept of space between before and after the incident and methods of learning with media images / photographs and illustrations as well as the strengths and weaknesses in the learning process of understanding the concept of the geography of the space changes in SMA 5 Banda Aceh. Quasi experiment research method method (Non-Equivalent (Pre-Test and Post Test) Control Design Group). The entire study population IS a class XI student of SMA Negeri 5 Banda Aceh as many as 98 students, the study sample was 49 students. Data collection techniques using achievement test questions, student worksheets and observation sheets and questionnaires. Techniques of data analysis and statistical correlation formula N-Gain. Understanding of the concept of test results of pre-test and post-test changes in the intersection space Batoh AMD incidence valuable method in class correlation is 0.87 while the media class pictures / photos and illustrations worth 0.70 and the correlation is more effective and superior to the use of media images / photographs and illustrations with the achievement by 82% compared to the class method with the achievement incidence by 81% in the process of learning geography. Fhitung = 00:05 <F table = 1.96, then the two samples studied homogeneous at the level of error α = 0.05 and df = (n1 - 1, n2 - 1), x ^ 2hitung with dk (23-1) = 0:10 <x ^ 2tabel = 42 796, and with dk (26-1) = 0:30 <x ^ 2tabel = 46 926, then the population is normally distributed errors at the level of α = 0.05 and df = (n1 - 1, n2 - 1), of t = 0:10 < TTable = 2.07, test the hypothesis in the pre-second class normally distributed and homogeneous, then testing the hypothesis in the study received the error level α = 0.05 and df = (n1 - 1, n2 - 1). Recommendations are expected to research the subject teachers of geography in order to put forward the phenomena that are of local content in the understanding of the concept of change in the learning process chamber geographies.
