Abstract

Menyimak merupakan satu dari keempat keterampilan bahasa yang memiliki kapasitas terbesar dalam proses pembelajaran. Kemampuan menyimak bagi pelajar memiliki persentase 50% dari seluruh kemampuan keterampilan bahasa lainnya. Namun jarang sekali sekolah yang khusus mengadakan kegiatan menyimak disela-sela pembelajaran bahasa Jepang guna melatih kemampuan menyimak siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pembelajar sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media LEARN JAPANESE WITH JAPANESEPOD101, penggunaan media LEARN JAPANESE WITH JAPANESEPOD101 untuk melatih keterampilan menyimak siswa, dan tanggapan siswa terhadap pembelajaran menggunakan media menyimak tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen kuasi dengan model One group pretest post-test design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 33 siswa kelas X.5 SMA Pasundan 8 Bandung. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes dan angket. Hasil analisis data diketahui db=32, nilai t hitung sebesar 11,005 dan ttabel pada taraf 5% sebesar 2,037 sedangkan taraf signifikasi 1% sebesar 2,738. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa t hitung lebih besar dari ttabel, dapat diartikan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan menyimak siswa sesudah belajar menggunakan media LEARN JAPANESE WITH JAPANESEPOD101. Dari hasil angket, diketahui bahwa dari 33 siswa, 27 menyatakan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan media audio dianggap menarik dan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Kata kunci: media LEARN JAPANESE WITH JAPANESEPOD101, menyimak   Listening is one of four language skills which have biggest capacity in the process of learning. Listening skill takes over 50% of all language skills for students. However, it is very rare to find a school which holds a particular listening activity to practice the students listening skill in the middle of Japanese learning process. This research was conducted to find out the process of learning Japanese at school, the use of LEARN JAPANESE WITH JAPANESEPOD101 media to practice students listening skill, the students’ achievement in listening vocabulary before and after using LEARN JAPANESE WITH JAPANESEPOD101 and students’ response toward the use of that media in the learning process. The research methodology uses was quasi-experimental research by applying One group pretest post-test design model. The sample of the research was 33 students of Class X.5 in SMA Pasundan 8 Bandung. The research instruments utilized were test and questionnaire. The result of data analysis showed that db=32, t value was 11,005 and t table at 5% which meant 2,037 while number of significance was 1% which meant 2,738. It showed that t score was bigger than t table, it can be interpreted that there was a significant difference in students listening skill after using LEARN JAPANESE WITH JAPANESEPOD101 media. From the questionnaire, it was known that 27 from 33 students considered that the audio media used was interesting and able to increase the students’ achievement.
