Abstract
Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa kelas VIII SMP Kartika XIX-2 Bandung sebelum mengikuti pembelajaran menulis puisi dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran ARIAS, kemampuan siswa kelas VIII SMP Kartika XIX-2 Bandung sebelum mengikuti pembelajaran menulis puisi dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran ARIAS, dan ada atau tidaknya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan menulis puisi siswa sebelum dan sesudah mengikuti pembelajaran menulis puisi dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran ARIAS. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen kuasi. Tujuan pemilihan metode eksperimen adalah untuk menguji hipotesis yang sudah ditetapkan. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah adalah one group pretest posttest, dengan tes awal dan tes akhir pada kelas eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan menulis puisi sebelum mendapat perlakuan penerapan model pembelajaran ARIAS memiliki nilai rata-rata pretes sebesar 51,5 dan secara keseluruhan termasuk ke dalam kategori cukup baik. Pada tahap pretes puisi yang ditulis siswa menggunakan diksi yang kurang bervariasi dan kurang menggunakan majas. Puisi yang dikatakan baik adalah puisi yang mampu membangun struktur fisik dan struktur batinnya secara solid. Pada tahap pretes juga hanya beberapa orang siswa yang mampu membangun struktur fisik dan struktur batin puisi dengan cukup baik. Setelah diberikan perlakuan berupa penerapan model pembelajaran ARIAS nilai rata-rata postes sebesar 62,11 dan secara keseluruhan termasuk ke dalam kategori baik. Pada tahap postes puisi yang ditulis siswa menggunakan diksi yang sudah cukup bervariasi, menggunakan kata-kata yang membangun imaji, dan cukup banyak menggunakan majas yang menambah keindahan isi puisi. Pada tahap postes juga sudah banyak siswa yang mampu membangun struktur fisik dan struktur batin puisi dengan baik dalam puisi karyanya. Berdasarkan pengolahan data, pada uji signifikansi diperoleh nilai thitung 4,96 dan ttabel 1,70 sehingga thitung 4,96 > ttabel 1,70 pada taraf kepercayaan 95% dengan dk=27. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa Ha diterima. This study was conducted to find out the ability of students grade VIII SMP Kartika XIX-2 Bandung before participating in learning to write poetry with applying model study of ARIAS, the ability of students grade VIII SMP Kartika XIX-2 Bandung after participating in learning to write poetry with applying model study of ARIAS, and whether there is any significant difference between students' ability to write poetry before and after participating in learning to write poetry by applying model study of ARIAS. Methods used in this research is experiment quasi. Election purposes method of the experiment was to test the hypothesis that have been defined. Research design used in this study is one group pretest posttest, with the initial test and final test in the experimental class. The results showed that the ability to write poetry before getting treatment applying model study of ARIAS had an average pretest score of 51.5 and as a whole is in a category quite well. In the pretest phase of poems written by the students using diction that is less varied and less use a figure of speech. Is said to be good poetry is poetry that is able to build the physical structure and the inner structure of the solid. In the pretest phase also only a few students were able to build the physical structure and the inner structure of the poem well enough. Once the treatment is given in the form of application of learning models ARIAS average posttest score of 62.11 and overall well fall into the category. In the posttest phase of poems written by the students using diction that is quite varied, using words that build images, and pretty much use a figure of speech that add beauty to the content of poetry. In the posttest phase also has a lot of students who are able to build the physical structure and the inner structure of the poem well in his poetry. Based on the data processing, the significance test and obtained values of 4.96 t 1.70 to t 4.96 ttable> ttable 1.70 at 95% confidence level with df = 27. It shows that Ha is accepted.
