Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan cost reduction dalam peningkatan laba PD. Bank Perkreditan Rakyat di Jawa Barat berdasarkan salah satu cost reduction tools yaitu fixed cost analysis dan break even analysis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Teknik penarikan sampel menggunakan non-probability sampling dengan pendekatan purposive sampling dengan kriteria (1) PD BPR di Jawa Barat yang mempublikasikan laporan keuangannya di Bank Indonesia selama tiga tahun berturut-turut; (2) PD BPR yang dikategorikan sehat menurut rasio capital adequate ratio (CAR); (3) PD BPR yang memiliki rasio return on asset (ROA) positif; (4) PD BPR yang memiliki total asset lebih dari rata-rata total aset PD BPR di Jawa Barat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai fix cost ratio dari tahun ketahun mengalami penurunan, hal tersebut berbanding terbalik dengan nilai laba yang dari tahun ketahun selalu mengalami kenaikan. Hal tersebut menunjukan bahwa penerapan cost reduction dengan mengefisiensikan yang dilakukan dalam penggunaan fixed cost berpengaruh pada perolehan laba. Proporsi fixed cost yang lebih rendah memberikan peluang bagi PD BPR untuk meraih pendapatan yang lebih besar dari pengeluaran variabelnya. Breakeven analysis menunjukan hal yang berbeda, bahwa cost reduction yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai spread tidak menunjukan perannya dalam peningkatan laba. This study aims to determine how the implementation of cost reduction in the profit improvement of PD. BPR in West Java by the tools of cost reduction those are fixed cost analysis and breakeven analysis. The method used is descriptive quantitative. The sampling technique using non-probability sampling with purposive sampling approach with criteria (1) PD BPR in West Java which publishes its financial statements in Bank Indonesia for three consecutive years; (2) PD BPR healthy categorized according to the ratio of capital adequate ratio (CAR); (3) PD BPR with return on assets ratio (ROA) is positive; (4) PD BPR with total assets of more than the average total assets PD BPR in West Java. The results showed that the average value of fixed cost ratio from year to year decline, it is inversely proportional to the value of earnings from year to year always increase. It shows that the implementation of the cost reduction is carried out efficiently in the use of fixed costs affect profitability. The proportion of lower fixed cost provides opportunities for PD BPR to achieve greater income than expenditure variables. Breakeven analysis shows different things, that the cost reduction is indicated by the value of the spread shows no relation to the increase in profit.
