Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk membandingkan keefektifan play therapy dan psikodrama dalam mengembangkan kontrol diri siswa. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Lubuk Ngin tahun ajaran 2014/2015 yang menggunakan desain probability sampling dengan teknik simple random sampling. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji analisis kovarian untuk melihat peningkatan (gain) pre-test dan post-test setiap siswa yang diberikan dua intervensi play therapy dan psikodrama dan dapat membandingkan keefektifan kedua intervensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan kontrol diri siswa antara kelompok play therapy dan psikodrama setelah diberikan intervensi (F=71556) dengan signifikan .000 artinya kedua pendekatan efektif dalam mengembangkan kontrol diri siswa SD Negeri 1 Lubuk Ngin Tahun Ajaran 2014/2015. Namun, dari hasil rerata menyatakan bahwa rerata kontrol diri pada kelompok play therapy (M=110.0706; SD=7.588854) lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelompok psikodrama (M=96.6391; SD= 14.33129) artinya play therapy lebih efektif dibandingkan psikodrama dalam mengembangkan kontrol diri siswa. The purpose of the research was to compare the effectiveness of play therapy and psychodrama in developing students self-control. The study was conducted using a quasi-experimental methods. Subjects were fourth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Lubuk Ngin academic year 2014/2015 were taken using probability sampling design with simple random sampling technique. Analysis using SPSS 20 analysis of covariance test to see improvement each student pre-test and post-test (gain) that given two intervention play therapy and psychodrama. The results show there is a difference between the students' self-control therapy and psychodrama play after being given intervention (F = 71 556) with .000 significant. It’s mean that play therapy and psychodrama are equally effective in developing self-control students of SD Negeri 1 Lubuk Ngin Akademic Year of 2014/2015. However, from the results stated that the average mean of self-control in the play therapy group (M = 110.0706; SD = 7.588854) higher than the psychodrama group (M = 96.6391; SD = 14.33129). The conclusion stated that play therapy is more effective than psychodrama in improving students self-control.
