Abstract
Abstrak: Penelitian ini didasari oleh ketertarikan dalam diri penulis kepada seniman patung Nyoman Nuarta yang begitu fenomenal dan kerap melahirkan karya yang monumental, ia terkenal dalam pelopor Gerakan Seni Rupa Baru Indonesia dan menjadi terkenal setelah memenangkan lomba patung proklamator, oleh karena itu penulis tertarik untuk mendeskripsikan dan mengkaji kembali berbagai bentuk dan makna yang terkandung dalam setiap patung figur manusia karya nyoman Nuarta. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu agar penulis lebih faham serta pandangan masyarakat mengetahui maksud dari bentuk dan makna dari patung-patung karya Nyoman Nuarta, khususnya patung kelompok figur manusia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, lokasi penelitian ini adalah Galeri NuArt Sculpture Park yang bertempat di Jalan Setra Duta Kencaana 2 No.11 Sarijadi, Bandung. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini antara lain : observasi, wawancara, studi pustaka dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa setiap karya patung yang ada pasti memiliki makna dan pesan yang disampaikan seniman melalui karya patung. Nyoman Nuarta berkecenderungan berkarya realistis dan setiap karyanya mengandung pesan yang akan disampaikan melalui ekspresi dan gestur dari karya-karyanya. Kata Kunci : Analisis; Galeri NuArt Sculpture Park; Nyoman Nuarta; Patung Abstract: This study is based on the author’s interest in self-sculpture artist Nyoman Nuarta is so phenomenal and often give birth to monumental works, he is famous in The Art Pioneer New Indonesia and became famous after winning the race statue proclaimed, therefore te authors are interested in describing and review the various forms and meanings contained in each human figur sculpture work Nyoman Nuarta. The purpose of his study is that the authors are more familiar and views of people know the purpose of the form and meaning of sculpture by Nyoman Nuarta, especially the human figure sculpture group. The method used is descriptive research method with a qualitative approach, this study is the location Nuart Gallery Sculpture Park is located at Jalan Setra Duta Kencana No. 2. 11 Sarijadi, Bandung. Data collection techniques used in this study include: observation, interviews, library research and documentation Based on the results of this study concluded that every piece of sculpture that is sure to have meanings and messages conveyed through sculpture artist. Nyoman Nuarta tended to work realistically and each work contains a messages that will be conveyed through expression and gesture of his works.
