Abstract

Simbol dan makna dalam gerak, rias dan busana Tari Terbang Randu Kentir di Sanggar Asem Gede ini, merupakan tarian yang masuk dalam rumpun tari rakyat karena tarianya tumbuh dan berkembang di masyarakat Desa Jumbleng Kecamatan Losarang Kabupaten Indramayu. Kebudayaan asli dari Kabupaten Indramayu ini telah mengalami proses perubahan fungsi, gerak, rias dan perbedaan dalam busana. Berkenaan dengan itu, Tari Terbang Randu Kentir yang dimaksud pada tulisan ini lebih dititikberatkan pada simbol dan makna pada gerak, rias dan busana. Simbol dan makna yang terdapat dalam gerak Tari Terbang Randu Kentir adalah simbol manji dengan makna keimanan seorang muslim yang mempercayai bahwa Tuhannya itu satu, simbol tunggak kebanjiran dengan makna karakteristik air bah yang deras dan gambaran karakter air sungai yang deras dalam kisah hanyutnya Ki Dariwan di sungai Cimanuk, simbol randa ngawe merupakan makna tentang identitas maupun status Nyi Dariwan dalam kisahnya yang kehilangan suami dan pada akhirnya hidup menjadi atau randa dalam bahasa Indramayu, simbol serogan memiliki makna tentang mata pencaharian masyarakat Indramayu yang mayoritas sebagai nelayan dan petani yang kemudian tergambarkan melalui gerak serogan, dan simbol dederan. Seperti simbol rias yang terinspirasi dari tokoh Damar Wulan dalam kesenian wayang cepak Indramayu merupakan pengaruh budaya Hindu-Budha, simbol iket wulung yang digunakan Ki Kuwu Sangkan dalam menyebarkan agama Islam, simbol sumping yang digunakan berbentuk seperti tasbih (alat untuk berdzikir) yang merupakan budaya Islam, dan simbol motif lokcan sebagai pengaruh budaya Cina yang mempengaruhi perkembangan motif batik Indramayu melalui masyarakat pendatang (masyarakat Tionghoa). Symbols and meaning in motion, makeup and fashion Dance Studio Terbang Randu Kentir in this Gede Asem, a dance that goes in clumps folk dance because dance grow and flourish in Subdistrict Jumbleng villagers Losarang Indramayu district. Original culture of the Indramayu district has undergone a process of change in function, movement, makeup and differences in clothing. In connection with that, Terbang Randu Dance Kentir in this paper is more focused on the meaning of the symbols and motion, makeup and fashion. Symbols and meanings contained in the motion Dance Terbang Randu Kentir manji symbol with meaning is a Muslim faith who believe that the Lord is one, meaning the symbol stump inundated with torrential flood characteristics and description of rushing river water character in the story in a river runoff Ki Dariwan Cimanuk, relict ngawe a symbol of identity and status meaning Nyi Dariwan who lost her husband in the story and in the end of life becomes or relict in Indramayu language, symbols have meaning serogan about Indramayu people's livelihood as the majority of fishermen and farmers who then portrayed through motion serogan , and the symbol dederan. Such symbols inspired makeup of character in the puppet arts Damar Wulan smacking Indramayu is the influence of Hindu-Buddhist culture, symbols used iket wulung Ki Kuwu Sangkan in spreading Islam, the symbol used sumping shaped beads (tool for dhikr) which is the Islamic culture , motifs and symbols lokcan as Chinese cultural influences that affect the development of batik Indramayu through immigrant communities (Chinese community).
