Abstract
Penelitian ini di latarbelakangi dari hasil observasi dilapangan bahwa pemanfaatan media dan metode dalam pembelajaran masih kurang. Sekolah-sekolah masih terpaku dengan metode demonstrasi maupun ceramah, padahal banyak pilihan metode yang dapat dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, khususnya pada Mata Pelajaran Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK). Maka berdasarkan hal tersebut peneliti mencoba menerapkan strategi pembelajaran Discovery dengan bantuan media aplikasi Search Engine. Penelitian ini berusaha menjawab permasalahan penelitian, yaitu “Apakah terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar domain kognitif, antara siswa yang menggunakan strategi pembelajaran Discovery dengan aplikasi Search Engine dan siswa yang menggunakan metode demonstrasi pada Mata Pelajaran TIK?”. Masalah khusus yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) Bagaimanakah pelaksanaan metode discovery dengan aplikasi search engine pada mata pelajaran TIK kelas X di SMA 10 Bandung?;(2) Apakah terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar yang signifikan pada mata pelajaran TIK dalam ranah kognitif aspek memahami (C2), aspek menerapkan (C3),dan aspek Menganalisis (C4) antara siswa yang menggunakan strategi pembelajaran Discovery dengan aplikasi search engine dan siswa yang menggunakan metode Demonstrasi di kelas X SMAN 10 Bandung? Penelitian ini menggunakan Metode Kuasi Eksperimen dengan desain Non-equivalent Control Group Design bentuk Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes objektif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA 10 Bandung. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu Cluster Sampling. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukan strategi pembelajaran Discovery menghasilkan rata-rata hasil pre-test = 15,77 dan rata-rata hasil post-test= 24,82, sehingga didapat gain dari kedua nilai tersebut sebesar 9,05. Sedangkan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode Demonstrasi didapat rata-rata hasil pre-test= 16,03 dan rata-rata hasil posttest=19,28, sehingga gain yang didapat dari kedua nilai tersebut adalah 3,25. Perbedaan tersebut secara signifikan menunjukan bahwa penerapan strategi pembelajaran discovery dengan aplikasi search engine dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar domain kognitif siswa dibandingkan dengan metode demonstrasi. The schools are still glued to the demonstration and lecture method, but many options that methods can be developed to improve student learning outcomes. especially in the Subject Information and Communication Technology (ICT). So based on that the researchers tried to apply learning strategies with the help of media applications Discovery Search Engine. This study sought to answer the research problem, namely “Are there differences in the cognitive domain of learning outcomes, among students who use learning strategies with applications Discovery Search Engine and students who use the method demonstration on ICT Lesson?”. Specific issues that were examined in this study is (1) How is the implementation of the method with application discovery search engines in ICT subjects in class X SMA 10 Bandung?(2) Is there a significant difference in learning outcomes in ICT subjects in the cognitive aspect of understanding. aspects of applying (C3), and analyze aspects (C4) between students who use learning strategies Discovery with search engines and applications that students use demonstration method in class X SMAN 10 Bandung? This study uses a quasi-experiment method to the design of non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design form Control Group Design instrument used in the form of objective test. The population in this study were all students of class X SMA 10 Bandung. The sampling technique used is cluster sampling. The study results indicate Discovery learning strategy produces an average of the results of pre-test = 15.77, and the average results of post-test = 24.82, so the gain derived from the value of 9.05 second. While learning by demonstration using the average results obtained pre-test = 16.03, and the average results of posttest = 19.28, so the gain obtained from two values is 3.25. The significant difference indicates that the application of learning strategies application discovery with search engines to improve learning outcomes of students cognitive domains compared with the method of demonstration.
