Abstract
Penelitian ini berkenaan dengan penerapan pendekatan matematika realistik untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika materi sifat-sifat bangun ruang di SDN 3 Cikidang Kecamatan Lembang Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Secara umum, tujuan penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan pendekatan matematika realistik untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika materi sifat-sifat bangun ruang di SDN 3 Cikidang Kecamatan Lembang Kabupaten Bandung Barat, dan secara khusus tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika materi sifat-sifat bangun ruang dengan menerapkan pendekatan matematika realistik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Penelitian tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart dengan tiga siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VA SDN 3 Cikidang Kecamatan Lembang Kabupaten Bandung Barat yang berjumlah 24 orang. Hasil penelitian dengan menerapkan pendekatan matematika realistik pada pembelajaran matematika dapat meningkatkan aktivitas siswa saat pembelajaran dan hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa, terbukti dari nilai rata-rata dan persentase pencapaian KKM yang meningkat. Pada siklus I nilai rata-rata mencapai 71,25 dengan persentase pencapaian KKM sebesar 67%, pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan dengan nilai rata-rata mencapai 81,25 dengan persentase pencapaian KKM sebesar 83%, dan pada siklus III mengalami peningkatan dengan nilai rata-rata 94,58 dengan persentase pencapaian KKM sebesar 96%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut ada beberapa saran yang hendak disampaikan, antara lain guru harus lebih mengkaji teori yang ada dalam pendekatan matematika realistik, guru dapat menerapkan pendekatan matematika realistik pada materi lain yang ada pada mata pelajaran matematika, kepala sekolah hendaknya memfasilitasi sarana dan prasarana pembelajaran, untuk peneliti selanjutnya hendaknya mengkaji dan menguasai teori-teori yang berkaitan dengan pendekatan matematika realistik. Generally, the purpose of this research is to describe the implementation of realistic mathematics approach to improve students’ learning outcomes of mathematics subject in geometry characteristics material in SDN 3 Cikidang Kecamatan Lembang Kabupaten Bandung Barat, and specifically the aims of the research is to describe the planning, implementation, and the improvement of students’ learning outcomes in mathematics subject of geometry characteristics material with realistic mathematics approach. The method used in the research is Classroom Action Research or CAR Kemmis and Mc. Taggart model with three cycles. Data collection techniques in this research are a test, an observation, and a documentation study. The subjects were 24 students in SDN 3 Cikidang Kecamatan Lembang Kabupaten Bandung Barat in class VA. The result show that the implementation of realistic mathematics approach in mathematics subject can increase students’ activity during learning process and the outcomes that students obtained, the evidences come from the average of value and increasing percentage of KKM achievement. In the first cycle or cycle I, the average of value reaches 71.25 with the percentage of KKM achievement 67, on the second cycle or cycle II, it has increased with the average of value 81,25 with the percentage of KKM achievement up to 83%, and on the third cycle or cycle III, it has increased with the average of value 94,58 with the percentage of KKM achievement up to 96%. Based on the results of the research, there are several suggestion that would be given such as teachers should be reviewing the existing theories in mathematics realistic approach, teachers can implement this mathematics realistic approach on the other material that is in the mathematics subject, and the principal should facilitate the learning infrastructure. For further research, researchers should study and master the theories related to the realistic mathematics approach. Key words: realistic mathematics approach, learning outcomes
