Abstract
Penelitian ini berjudul “Kontribusi Kemampuan Supervisi Kepala Sekolah Terhadap Kinerja Mengajar Guru di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri se-Kabupaten Purwakarta”. Permasalahan yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini menyangkut kurang intensitasnya interaksi formal maupun informal kepala sekolah dengan guru yang disebabkan kepala sekolah yang terlalu disibukan oleh kegiatan yang bersifat administratif dan pembangunan. Akibatnya, pelaksanaan supervisi yang dilakukan kepala sekolah dalam rangka meningkatkan kinerja mengajar guru terganggu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran mengenai kontribusi kemampuan supervisi kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja mengajar guru di SMP Negeri Se-Kabupaten Purwakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode angket tertutup yang didukung dengan metode dokumentasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 614 orang yaitu guru-guru yang ada di 30 sekolah yang mewakili 17 kecamatan yang ada di Kabupaten Purwakarta, dan untuk sampel berjumlah 85 orang guru. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dengan menggunakan rumus Weight Means Score (WMS), gambaran umum variabel X (kemampuan supervisi kepala sekolah) berada pada kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata 4,009. Sementara gambaran umum variabel Y (kinerja mengjar guru) berada pada kategori sangat baik, dengan skor rata-rata 4,35. Korelasi variabel X dan Y memiliki hubungan yang signifikan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,41 yang ada pada kategori cukup kuat dan signifikan, dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 17,20%, serta hasil analisis regresi yaitu Ỷ = 27,05 + 0,397 X yang bersifat signifikan dan linier. Kesimpulan penelitian menyatakan kemampuan supervisi kepala sekolah berkontribusi signifikan terhadap kinerja mengajar guru di SMP Negeri se-Kabupaten Purwakarta. The study is titled "Contribution Capabilities on Performance Supervising Principal Teaching Teachers in Junior High School as Purwakarta Regency". This study uses descriptive quantitative approach. Data was collected by questionnaire covered a method supported with documentation.
