Abstract

Latar belakang dari peneletian ini dimana anak tunarungu mengalami hambatan dalam memahami berbagai macam ekspresi wajah pada manusia. Berdasarkan pokok permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh data tentang kemampuan anak tunarungu dalam menyebutkan dan menunjukan berbagai macam ekspresi wajah pada manusia sebelum diberi perlakuan dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan menggunakan Media Gambar Emotion. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, yang bersifat ekperimen dengan subjek tunggal (single subjet research), yaitu penilitian yang dilaksanakan pada satu subjek (anak kelas 2 SDLB Sukapura). Dalam penelitian ini pada akhirnya akan mendapatkan hasil tentang pengaruh penggunaan media gambar emotion terhadap anak tunarungu kelas II SDLB Sukapura Bandung. Dimana pada fase baseline-1 rata-rata yang didapatkan mencapai 103,5 fase intervensi mencapai 167,8 dan fase baseline-2 mencapai 183,75. Pencapaian angka tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terjadi perubahan pada target perilaku yang diharapkan muncul pada diri subjek. Perubahan mulai dari kondisi baseline-1 subjek yang mendapatkan skor cukup rendah sampai akhirnya melalui intervensi yang diberikan skor yang didapatkan subjek perlahan meningkat terus menerus dibandingkan sebelumnya. Persentase overlap saat membandingkan setiap fase penelitian sempat mencapai angka 25% dan 40% namun hal ini tidak mempengaruhi terhadap peningkatan kemampuan memahami ekspresi wajah subjek. Hal ini menujukkan bahwa memang terjadi perubahan kearah positif pada target perilaku siswa yakni kemampuan memahami ekspresi wajah setelah diberikan intervensi melalui latihan penggunaan media gambar emotion yang dilaksanakan selama 10 sesi secara berturut-turut. The background of this peneletian where deaf children have problems in understanding the wide range of facial expressions in humans. Based on the subject matter, this study aims to obtain data on the ability of deaf children in the states and show a wide range of facial expressions in humans treated before and after the treatment using Emotion Picture Media. This study uses a quantitative approach, which is experiment with a single subject (single subjet research), which penilitian conducted on one subject (2 SDLB Sukapura graders). In this research will eventually get the results about the influence of media use on children with hearing emotion drawing class II SDLB Sukapura Bandung. Where the phase-1 baseline average obtained reached 103.5 167.8 achieve the intervention phase and phase-2 reached 183.75 baseline. Achievement of these figures shows that there is a change in the target behavior is expected to appear in the subject. The change from baseline condition-1 subject who received a score low enough until finally through a given intervention scores obtained slowly increasing continuously subject than ever before. The percentage of overlap when comparing each phase of the study had reached the figure of 25% and 40%, but this did not affect the increase in the ability to understand the subject's facial expression. This shows that there is indeed a change in the positive direction on the target student behavior: the ability to understand facial expressions after a given intervention through the use of media images emotion exercise conducted for 10 consecutive sessions.
