Abstract
Semakin kompleksnya permasalahan lingkungan di Kota Bandung menuntut semua pihak termasuk siswa untuk berperan aktif dalam upaya pengelolaannya. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh kecerdasan emosional dan pengetahuan lingkungan hidup pada mata pelajaran geografi terhadap sikap siswa SMA dalam pengelolaan lingkungan di Kota Bandung. Metode penelitian berupa survey dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas XII IPS yang tersebar di 27 SMA Negeri di kota Bandung. Teknik sampling berupa simple random sampling dan teknik analisis data berupa korelasi dan regresi. Skor tanggapan responden terhadap variabel kecerdasan emosional dan pengetahuan lingkungan hidup dikategorikan tinggi dan terhadap variabel sikap siswa dalam pengelolaan lingkungan dikategorikan sangat tinggi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan linier yang signifikan dengan pengaruh cukup tinggi antara kecerdasan emosional terhadap sikap siswa dalam pengelolaan lingkungan. Terdapat hubungan linier yang signifikan dengan pengaruh rendah antara pengetahuan lingkungan hidup terhadap sikap siswa dalam pengelolaan lingkungan. Terdapat hubungan linier yang signifikan dengan pengaruh cukup rendah antara kecerdasan emosional terhadap pengetahuan lingkungan hidup. Terdapat hubungan linier yang signifikan dengan pengaruh yang cukup tinggi antara kecerdasan emosional dan pengetahuan lingkungan hidup secara bersama-sama terhadap sikap siswa dalam pengelolaan lingkungan. Untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengendalikan emosi diri, mata pelajaran geografi diharapkan dapat menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif. Untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan prosedural dan metakognitif terkait lingkungan hidup, mata pelajaran geografi diharapkan menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis masalah atau berbasis proyek. Untuk meningkatkan sikap dalam pengendalian lingkungan, mata pelajaran geografi diharapkan dapat menerapkan model pembelajaran dengan langsung mendatangi sumber belajar terkait permasalahan lingkungan. Terkait rendahnya pengaruh pengetahuan lingkungan hidup terhadap sikap siswa dalam pengelolaan lingkungan, pembelajaran geografi diharapkan tidak hanya terfokus pada aspek kognitif, tetapi memperhatikan pula aspek yang lainnya. Kata Kunci: Kecerdasan Emosional, Pengetahuan Lingkungan, Pengelolaan Lingkungan The issues of environmental problems in Bandung City encourage people to hand in hand to solve them. The aims of this research are to investigate the effect of emotional intelligence and environment knowledge in subjects Geography, toward student’s attitude in managing the environment in this city. The method used in this research is survey,students of third-class in social science, spread in 27 Public Senior High School in Bandung becomes population of the study. Besides, the technique use in this research is simple random sampling, the data gathered from the samples is calculated and analyzed statistcally, and the analysis is called correlation and regression. The scores of samples response toward emotional intelligence and environmental knowledge can be categorized high. Then, the score of samples response toward student’s attituding in managing the environment is categorized very high. Based on statistic, it can be seen that the result show there is a significant linear relationship with a high effect between emotional intelligence toward students attitude the managing environment. Besides, there is a significant linear relationship with a low effect between environmental knowledge toward students attitude in managing environmental. Then, there is a significant linear relationship with low effect between emotional intelligence toward environmental knowlwdge. Finally, simultaneously, there is a significant linear relationship with high effect between emotional intelligence and environmental knowledge toward student’s attitude the managing environment. Considering the less effort of student’s in controlling their self emotion, the learning process of Geography is supposed to apply a cooperative learning models. Then, the based on the data showed the low score of sample’s response toward knowlwdge of metakognitif and procedural, hopefully Geography can have various model such as problem-based learning or project based learning. In terms of the low response of samples toward environment control, hopefully Geography can apply various models relating the current environment issues such as visiting the nature as learning resources. Then, considering the low knowledge of environment towards students attitude in managing the environment, Geography learning activities are wished not only focus on cognitive but also consider the other ones.
