Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi kurangnya kemampuan siswa dalam membaca cerita pendek yang bertujuan untuk menguji dan mendeskripsikan bagaimana pelaksanaan pengajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran Timbal-balik (Reciprocal Teaching) dalam membaca cerita pendek di kelas VIII-A MTs Khoerul Falah. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode studi kuasi eksperimen, dengan sumber data kelas VIII-A MTs Khoerul Falah. Desain yang digunakan adalah one group pretest dan posttest. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah instrumen tes sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model pembelajaran Timbal-balik (Reciprocal Teaching). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis t-test. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh gambaran sebagai berikut: (1) model pembelajaran Timbal-Balik (Reciprocal Teaching) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. rata-rata hasil belajar membaca cerita pendek siswa kelas VIII-A sebelum menggunakan model pembelajaran Timbal-balik (Reciprocal Teaching) adalah (60,18) belum mencapai standar Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM), sedangkan rata-rata setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran Timbal-balik (Reciprocal Teaching) adalah (77,68) sudah mencapai standar Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM); (2) Setelah dilakukan analisis dengan t-test diperoleh harga t_(hitung )(7,96) > t_(tabel )(2,47). Dengan demikian terbukti bahwa model pembelajaran Timbal-balik (Reciprocal Teaching) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar membaca cerita pendek pada siswa kelas VIII-A MTs Khoerul Falah. This research purpose is to examine the result of Reciprocal Teaching Models in short story reading lesson at Class VIII-A at MTs Khoerul Falah. The models used in this research is Experimental Quasi Study. The source of data in this research is students of Class VIII-A at MTs Khoerul Falah. This research used one group pretest pos test design. The instrument of collecting data used in this research is test instrument before an after use Reciprocal Teaching Models. Data was analyzed using t test analysis. Based on this research, Reciprocal Teaching Models can increase the result of learning short story reading, the level average of short story reading students at Class VIII-A before using Reciprocal Teaching Models was 60.18, which means under the KKM standard. After using Reciprocal Teaching Models, the level was increased (77,68), which means it was above the KKM standard. In the term of t test analysis, the result was t_hitung (7.96) > t_(tabél )(2.47). So, it means it is approved that Reciprocal Teaching Models can be used to increase the skill of short story reading of student of Class VIII-A MTs Khoerul Falah.
