Abstract
Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui benar atau tidaknya tuturan yang diperkarakan Ahmad Dhani kepada pihak kepolisian sebagai tindak pidana pencemaran nama baik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif-kualitatif dengan pendekatan Pragmatik Fungsional. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah tuturan Farhat Abbas yang dilaporkan Ahmad Dhani sebagai laporan yang berdampak hukum tertentu. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri sebagai instrumen utama yang memanfaatkan situs-situs dalam jaringan seperti, youtube, situs berita online, dsb. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah (1) Daya tuturan Farhat Abbas terindikasi mengandung adanya tindak pidana pencemaran nama baik. Dalam tuturannya dapat diduga bahwa Farhat melakukan penghinaan di media publik; (2) Dari tujuh belas tuturannya, terindikasi dua belas tuturan melanggar maksim cara, dua tuturan yang melanggar maksim kualitas, dan tiga tuturan yang melanggar maksim kuantitas. Implikatur yang dihasilkan setiap tuturan berbeda-beda. Namun demikian, efek yang ingin dihasilkan, diduga adalah buruknya nama Dhani di masyarakat; (3) Berdasarkan hasil analisis terhadap felicity conditions, diketahui bahwa tuturan Farhat Abbas tidak valid sehingga terindikasi sebagai pencemaran nama baik. This study is aimed to determine (in)accuracy in speeches which are sued by Ahmad Dhani to the police as a criminal offense of defamation. This study used a descriptive-qualitative method with Functional Pragmatic approach. Data resources of this study are Farhat Abbas's speeches which are reported by Ahmad Dhani as a report that has certain legal impact. The instrument of this study is the researcher herself as the main instrument who utilized network sites such as, youtube, online news sites, and so on. The results of this study are (1) Farhat Abbas's power of speech contains a criminal offense of defamation. In his speeches, it is strongly suspected that Farhat insulted Dhani in the public media; (2) From his seventeen speeches, it is indicationed that there are maxim of manner violations in twelve speeches, maxim of quality violations in two speeches, and violations of the maxim of quantity in three speeches. The implicatures that are generated by each speeches are varied. However, the expected effect is Dhani`s notoriety in the society. (3) Based on the analysis on felicity conditions, it is indicationed that Farhat Abbas' speeches are invalid so that it can be regarded as defamation
