Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pandangan bahwa dalam sebuah wacana humor identik dengan pelanggaran maksim agar humor yang tercipta dapat lebih menimbulkan kelucuan karena dengan melanggar maksim, maka akan tercipta sebuah humor yang baik. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori prinsip kerja sama Grice yang terdiri dari empat maksim, yaitu maksim kuantitas, kualitas, pelaksanaan, dan relevansi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan empat hasil sebagai berikut. Pertama, ditemukan bahwa terdapat 24 data yang mematuhi makim kuantitas, kualitas, relevansi, dan pelaksanaan/cara. Pematuhan pada maksim kuantitas ditemukan sebanyak 6 data, kemudian maksim kualitas sebanyak 2 data, maksim relevansi sebanyak 9 data, dan maksim pelaksanaan/cara sebanyak 7 data. Dari keempat maksim tersebut, maksim yang paling dominan adalah maksim relevansi sebanyak 9 data. Kedua, pelanggaran maksim prinsip kerja sama Grice yang terdapat pada wacana humor Watir ditemukan sebanyak 15 data yang melanggar maksim kuantitas, kualitas, relevansi, dan pelaksanaan/cara. Dari 15 data tersebut ditemukan sebanyak 4 pelanggaran maksim kuantitas, 4 pelanggaran maksim kualitas, kemudian sebanyak 5 pelanggaran relevansi, dan ditemukan pula 2 pelanggaran maksim pelaksanaan/cara. Dari data yang diperoleh tersebut terlihat bahwa masim yang dominan dilanggar adalah maksim relevansi sebanyak 5 data. Ketiga, peneliti juga menemukan fungsi tindak tutur yang ditemukan diantaranya fungsi tindak tutur asertif, ekspresif, direktif, komisif, dan deklaratif. Keempat, implikatur-implikatur yang dihasilkan dari buku humor Watir, diantaranya implikatur yang menunjukkan larangan, implikatur yang memberi ejekan kepada lawan tutur, implikatur yang menyudutkan lawan tutur, implikatur yang berusaha menyindir lawan tutur, implikatur menuduh, dan implikatur yang menunjukkan kebohongan. Abstract: The background of this research is based on the perspective that humor is identic with the maxim violation so that the humor created can be even more humorous since it is believed that the more it breaks the maxim rule, the better the humor will be. This research used the cooperation principal theory of Grice which consists of four maxim, those are quantity, quality, implementation, and relevancy. This research showed four kinds of results as follow: first thing first, there were found 24 data that followed maxim quantity, quality, relevancy, and implementation. The fidelity of maxim quantity was found six data, then maxim quality about 2 data, maxim relevancy about 9 data, and maxim implementation about 7 data.of all those four maxim, the most dominant one wasmaxim relevancy as about 9 data. Secondly, the breaking maxim cooperation with Grice lied on the humor of Watir book was found 15 data. Of all those 15 data were found about 4 violations breaking the maxim quantity, 4 violations of maxim quality, then 5 violations of relevancy, also found 2 violations of maxim implementation. From the result above, it could be seen that the most maxim violated were 5 data. Furthermore, the researcher also found the functions of speech acts like asertif, expressive, directive, komisif, and deklaratif. Last but not least, the implications found in the humor of Watir book among others were the implication showing prohibition, the implication showing mockery, the implications showing irony, the implications showing sarcasm, the implications showing accusation, and the implications showing lies.
