    Abstract

    Kemajuan teknologi yang cepat telah memengaruhi pola hidup masyarakat termasuk remaja yang kini cenderung menjalani gaya hidup kurang aktif. Aktivitas fisik yang rendah pada remaja menjadi isu global yang turut dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor dengan salah satunya adalah status sosial ekonomi keluarga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara status sosial ekonomi keluarga dengan tingkat aktivitas fisik pada remaja di SMAN 1 Sumedang. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif korelasional dan rancangan cross-sectional. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari 1.336 siswa, dan sebanyak 332 siswa dijadikan sampel berdasarkan tabel Krejcie dan Morgan melalui teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Family Affluence Scale III (FAS III) dan Global Physical Activity Questionnaire (GPAQ) yang telah terbukti valid dan reliabel. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan analisis univariat dan uji korelasi Spearman’s rho. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 36,7% responden memiliki status sosial ekonomi sedang dan 45,8% memiliki aktivitas fisik rendah. Uji korelasi menghasilkan p = 0,493 (p > 0,05), yang berarti tidak adanya hubungan signifikan antara kedua variabel. Kesimpulannya, aktivitas fisik remaja lebih dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain, seperti kebiasaan personal, lingkungan sekitar, serta dorongan dan minat individu untuk beraktivitas fisik. The rapid advancement of technology has influenced people’s lifestyles, including adolescents who now tend to adopt a less active way of living. Low physical activity among teenagers has become a global issue and is affected by various factors, one of which is the family’s socioeconomic status. This study aims to examine the relationship between family socioeconomic status and the level of physical activity among adolescents at SMAN 1 Sumedang. The research employed a quantitative design with a descriptive correlational approach and a cross-sectional method. The study population consisted of 1,336 students, and a total of 332 students were selected as the sample based on the Krejcie and Morgan table using a cluster random sampling technique. The instruments used were the Family Affluence Scale III (FAS III) and the Global Physical Activity Questionnaire (GPAQ), both of which have been proven valid and reliable. Data analysis was conducted using univariate analysis and the Spearman’s rho correlation test. The findings showed that 36.7% of respondents had a moderate socioeconomic status, while 45.8% had low levels of physical activity. The correlation test yielded a p-value of 0.493 (p > 0.05), indicating no significant relationship between the two variables. In conclusion, adolescents’ physical activity is more strongly influenced by other factors such as personal habits, environmental conditions, and individual motivation or interest in engaging in physical activity.
