    Abstract

    Penelitian ini membahas pemahaman mengenai bagaimana interaksi sosial antara pelatih dan orang tua memengaruhi motivasi atlet renang remaja. Tujuan dari penelitian ini, untuk mengetahui pengaruh interaksi sosial pelatih dan orang tua terhadap motivasi atlet renang remaja. Alasan dari penelitian ini adalah ketidak sesuaian antara teori dan realitas di lapangan, di mana dukungan sosial dari orang tua dan pelatih yang seharusnya cenderung positif dalam meningkatkan motivasi atlet, dalam praktiknya justru dapat menjadi tekanan dan menyebabkan stres serta kehilangan motivasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi yang digunakan adalah atlet- atlet renang Samudra Swimming Club, sampel atlet yang diambil 30 atlet sesuai Kategori Usia (KU) remaja 10-17 Tahun yang diambil melalui purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen berupa kuesioner “Motivasi Belajar Anak Berprestasi.” Data diolah dan dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas dengan Shapiro-Wilk kemudian di analisis dengan menggunakan uji paired sample T-test. Nilai uji T yaitu dengan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,00, berdasarkan hasil uji, nilai Sig. (2-tailed) < 0,05 sehingga H0 ditolak. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa interaksi sosial pelatih dan orang tua memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi atlet renang remaja usia 10-17 tahun di Samudra Swimming Club. Kata Kunci: Atlet Renang Remaja, Interaksi Sosial, Pelatih, Motivasi, Orang Tua This study explores the understanding of how social interactions between coaches and parents influence the motivation of adolescent swimming athletes. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of social interactions between coaches and parents on the motivation of adolescent swimmers. The rationale behind this study stems from the discrepancy between theory and real-world conditions, where the expected positive influence of parental and coach support on athlete motivation can, in practice, become a source of pressure, leading to stress and a loss of motivation. The method used in this research is a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The population consists of swimmers from Samudra Swimming Club, and the sample includes 30 adolescent athletes aged10–17 years, selected through purposive sampling. The instrument used is a questionnaire titled “Achievement Motivation in Children.” The data were processed and analyzed using the Shapiro- Wilk normality test, followed by the Paired Sample T-Test. The T-test result showed a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.00. Based on this result, since Sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05, H0 is rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that the social interaction between coaches and parents has a significant effect on the motivation of adolescent swimmers aged 10–17 years at Samudra Swimming Club.
