Abstract
Kanker payudara merupakan salah satu penyakit dengan angka kejadian tertinggi pada wanita dan sering disertai keluhan nyeri yang berdampak pada kualitas hidup pasien. Penatalaksanaan nyeri menjadi fokus utama dalam perawatan paliatif, salah satunya melalui pendekatan non farmakologis seperti hand massage yang dinilai efektif, aman, dan mudah diaplikasikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas teknik hand massage dalam menurunkan intensitas nyeri pada pasien kanker payudara (Carcinoma Mammae). Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus (case report) pada satu pasien wanita dengan diagnosis Ca mammae stadium III yang dirawat di RSUD Umar Wirahadikusumah. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terjadi penurunan nyeri dari skala 6 menjadi skala 2 setelah intervensi hand massage selama 4 hari berturut-turut disertai dengan pemberian terapi farmakologis ketoprofen. Kesimpulannya, penerapan teknik hand massage terbukti efektif dalam menurunkan intensitas nyeri pada pasien kanker payudara dan dapat dijadikan sebagai intervensi keperawatan non farmakologis dalam upaya meningkatkan kenyamanan dan kualitas hidup pasien. Kata Kunci: Carcinoma Mammae, Hand massage, Nyeri, Keperawatan Breast cancer is one of the most common diseases among women and is often accompanied by pain complaints that affect the patient's quality of life. Pain management is a primary focus in palliative care, including non-pharmacological approaches such as hand massage, which is considered effective, safe, and easy to apply. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of hand massage techniques in reducing pain intensity in breast cancer (Carcinoma Mammae) patients. The study used a case report design conducted on a female patient diagnosed with stage III breast cancer who was treated at RSUD Umar Wirahadikusumah. The results showed a decrease in pain from a scale of 6 to 2 after a four-day consecutive hand massage intervention accompanied by the administration of the pharmacological therapy ketoprofen. In conclusion, the application of hand massage techniques proved effective in reducing pain intensity in breast cancer patients and can be used as a non-pharmacological nursing intervention to enhance patient comfort and quality of life.
