Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Power otot tungkai dan VO2Max terhadap performa atlet Karate. Power otot tungkai merupakan salah satu komponen penting dalam gerakan eksplosif seperti tendangan dan perpindahan posisi, sedangkan VO2Max mencerminkan kapasitas aerobik maksimal yang mendukung daya tahan selama pertandingan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekaatan survei dan observasi pertandingan. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari enam atlet Karate Pelatda Jawa Barat yang telah mengikuti kejuaraan tingkat nasional.Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi tes VO2Max menggunakan Multi Stage Fitness Test (Beep Test), tes Power otot tungkai menggunakan Force Plate, dan rubrik observasi pertandingan berdasarkan regulasi WKF 2024. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tiga atlet memiliki VO2Max dalam kategori "baik sekali", dan dua atlet memiliki Power otot tungkai dalam kategori "baik sekali". Namun, berdasarkan uji regresi linear sederhana, baik VO2Max maupun Power otot tungkai tidak menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan terhadap performa dengan nilai signifikansi masing-masing > 0,05.Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa performa atlet Karate tidak semata-mata ditentukan oleh kondisi fisik seperti Power otot tungkai dan VO2Max , melainkan dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor lain seperti strategi, teknik, dan kesiapan mental. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi penting bagi pelatih untuk merancang program latihan yang lebih komprehensif dengan mempertimbangkan aspek fisik, teknis, dan psikologis secara seimbang. This study aims to analyze the influence of leg muscle Power and VO2Max on the performance of Karate athletes. Leg muscle Power is one of the important components in explosive movements such as kicking and position transfers, while VO2Max reflects maximum aerobik capacity that supports endurance during a match. The method used is a quantitative descriptive method with a survey approach and match observation. The research sample consists of six West Java Pelatda Karate athletes who have participated in national championships. The instruments used include the VO2Max test using the Multi Stage Fitness Test (Beep Test), the leg muscle Power test using the Force Plate, and the match observation rubric based on WKF 2024 regulations. The results showed that three athletes had VO2Max in the "very good" category, and two athletes had leg muscle Power in the "very good" category. However, based on a simple linear regression test, neither VO2Max nor leg muscle Power showed a significant effect on performance with a significance value of > 0.05 each.The conclusion of this study is that the performance of Karate athletes is not solely determined by physical conditions such as leg muscle Power and VO2Max , but is influenced by various other factors such as strategy, technique, and mental readiness. This research provides important implications for trainers to design a more comprehensive training program by considering physical, technical, and psychological aspects in a balanced manner.
