Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masalah pengaruh status ekonomi orang tua mengenai akses siswa terhadap fasilitas belajar pada pendidikan jasmani yang melibatkan aktivitas fisik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara status sosial ekonomi orang tua dengan motivasi belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran pendidikan jasmani di sekolah dasar, serta faktor-faktor yang memengaruhinya. Penelitian menggunakan desain korelasional dengan metode mixed method jenis sequential explanatory untuk mengukur hubungan antara dua variabel: status sosial ekonomi dan motivasi belajar. Sampel diambil menggunakan proportional stratified random sampling, terdiri dari 30 siswa kelas IV dari dua SD yang dipilih secara purposif berdasarkan letak geografis di Kecamatan Ganeas, Kabupaten Sumedang. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggabungkan data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil kuantitatif dari kuesioner dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial, menunjukkan uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan linearitas di atas 0.05, serta uji non parametrik Sperman’ rho sebesar 0.023 yang menunjukkan lemahnya korelasi, dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.902 > 0.05. Data kualitatif dari wawancara digunakan untuk mendukung temuan data kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara status ekonomi orang tua dan motivasi belajar pendidikan jasmani di sekolah dasar yang tergolong sangat lemah. Faktor lain yang mempengaruhinya yaitu, kondisi ekonomi, dukungan sosial, lingkungan, serta faktor internal siswa seperti minat dan motivasi pribadi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, direkomendasikan kepada guru, dinas pendidikan, orang tua untuk dapat memfasilitasi berbagai fasilitas olahraga yang dapat mendukung peningkat minat dan bakat siswa dalam aktivitas fisik. This study was motivated by the problem of the influence of parents' economic status on students' access to learning facilities in physical education involving physical activity. This study aims to analyze the relationship between parents' socioeconomic status and students' learning motivation in physical education subjects in elementary schools, as well as the factors that influence it. The study used a correlational design with a mixed method sequential explanatory method to measure the relationship between two variables: socioeconomic status and learning motivation. The sample was taken using proportional stratified random sampling, consisting of 30 fourth-grade students from two elementary schools selected purposively based on geographical location in Ganeas District, Sumedang Regency. Data analysis was carried out by combining quantitative and qualitative data. The quantitative results of the questionnaire were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, showing normality, homogeneity, and linearity tests above 0.05, and the non-parametric Sperman's rho test of 0.023 indicating a weak correlation, and a significance value of 0.902 > 0.05. Qualitative data from interviews were used to support the findings of the quantitative data. The results of the study showed that there was no significant relationship between the economic status of parents and the motivation to learn physical education in elementary schools which was classified as very weak. Other factors that influence it are economic conditions, social support, environment, and internal factors of students such as personal interests and motivation. Based on the results of the study, it is recommended to teachers, education offices, parents to be able to facilitate various sports facilities that can support increasing students' interests and talents in physical activities.
