Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi implementasi konsep green building pada proyek pembangunan Gedung Kampus Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) di Tasikmalaya. Latar belakang studi ini didasarkan pada urgensi penerapan prinsip bangunan ramah lingkungan dalam merespons isu perubahan iklim, efisiensi sumber daya, dan keberlanjutan lingkungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan evaluatif dan mengacu pada standar Greenship for New Building v1.2 yang dikeluarkan oleh Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI). Evaluasi dilakukan terhadap enam kategori utama, yaitu: Area dan Sumber Daya Lahan, Efisiensi dan Konservasi Energi, Konservasi Air, Material dan Sumber Daya, Kesehatan dan Kenyamanan dalam Ruang, serta Manajemen Lingkungan Bangunan. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa gedung tersebut memperoleh 68 poin dari total 102 poin, yang tergolong dalam peringkat Gold. Sejumlah perbaikan telah dilakukan untuk mencapai peringkat ini, termasuk pemasangan panel surya, sumur resapan, dan pemanfaatan air hujan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan sistematis terhadap green construction dapat meningkatkan performa bangunan dan memberikan manfaat ekologis serta efisiensi jangka panjang. Gedung ini berpotensi menjadi model percontohan pembangunan kampus berkelanjutan di Indonesia This study aims to evaluate the implementation of green building concepts in the development project of the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) campus building in Tasikmalaya. The research is motivated by the urgency of adopting environmentally friendly construction practices to address issues such as climate change, resource efficiency, and environmental sustainability. A descriptive method with an evaluative approach is employed, using the Greenship for New Building v1.2 standard issued by the Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI). The evaluation covers six main categories: Appropriate Site Development, Energy Efficiency and Conservation, Water Conservation, Material Resources and Cycle, Indoor Health and Comfort, and Building Environmental Management. The findings reveal that the building scored 68 out of a possible 102 points, earning a Gold rating. Improvements made include the installation of solar panels, infiltration wells, and rainwater harvesting systems. These results demonstrate that a systematic approach to green construction can significantly enhance building performance while offering ecological and long-term operational benefits. The campus building is positioned to serve as a model for sustainable educational infrastructure development across Indonesia.
