Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan dilapangan tentang rendahnya kemampuan siswa kelas 1 SDN 1 Cibodas dalam membaca. Hal tersebut diakibatkan oleh pendekatan pembelajaran yang tidak melibatkan siswa secara aktif sehingga pembelajaran kurang menarik. Pembelajaran yang kurang menarik berdampak pada rendahnya antusias siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran membaca. Dan Kurangnya antusias siswa dalam membaca berdampak pada rendahnya kemampuan membaca siswa. Oleh karena itu, Tujuan penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan dengan menerapkan pendekatan PAIKEM pada siswa kelas I SDN 1 cibodas kecamatan Lembang kabupaten Bandung barat. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penelitian ini didesain dalam tiga siklus. Prosedur dalam setiap siklus mencakup tahap-tahap: perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah kerja kelompok, diskusi dan pemberian tugas dengan mengoptimalkan berbagai media pembelajaran. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan LKS, lembar observasi, lembar wawancara,dokumentasi, serta arsip sekolah. Keefektifan tindakan pada setiap siklus diukur dari hasil observasi dan tes kemampuan membaca. Data hasil observasi dideskripsikan, diinterprestasikan, kemudian direfleksi untuk menentukan tindakan perbaikan pada siklus berikutnya. Sementara itu data hasil tes kemampuan membaca dianalisis dengan cara mendeskripsikan nilai tes antar siklus hingga hasilnya dapat mencapai batas tuntas sesuai dengan kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM), yaitu 68 dan 75% siswa dinyatakan lulus atau tuntas. Penelitian tindakan kelas yang melibatkan 39 siswa ini dilakukan sebanyak tiga siklus. Nilai rata-rata kemampuan membaca permulaan pada kondisi awal adalah 67,7 dengan tingkat ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 51,3%. Pada siklus I nilai rata-rata 70,3 dengan tingkat ketuntasan klasikal 58,9%. Pada siklus II, nilai rata-rata 73,9 tingkat ketuntasan klasikal 74,35%. Pada siklus III, nilai rata-rata 76,3 dengan tingkat ketuntasan klasikal 79,48%.

The background research had designed by the real problems of low students ability grade 1 in SDN 1 Cibodas in reading. It is caused by a learning approach that does not involve students actively in the learning so that less attractive. The process learning was less attractive which low impact on student learning in the following enthusiastic reading. The lack of enthusiastic students in reading resulted in the low reading skills of students. Therefore, the class action research objectives to improve reading skills of the applying student PAIKEM approach on class I SDN 1 cibodas subdistrict of West Bandung Regency Lembang. In order to achieve these objectives, the research was designed in three cycles. Procedures in each cycle includes the stages: planning, implementation of measures action, observation and reflection.
The research method is a group work, discussions and the granting of duty by optimizing different media of instruction. Data collection techniques in the study using LKS, observation sheets, interview sheets, documentation, as well as an archive of the school.
The effectiveness of actions on each cycle is measured from the results of observation and reading abilities test. Observations data described, interpreted, and reflected to determine the corrective action on the next cycle. Meanwhile reading skills test results data were analyzed by means of describing the value of a test between cycles until the results can be reached with Passing grade Criteria (KKM) that is 68 % and 75% of students graduatie or completely pass.
Research class action was involving 39 of these students performed a total of three cycles. The average value of the ability to read the beginning of the initial conditions are passing to the level of classical 67.7 of 51.3%. cycle I on average 70.3 with passing level of classical 58,9%. In cycle II, the average value of passing level of classical 73,9 of 74,35%. Cycle III, the average value of passing grade to the level of classical 76,3 of 79,48%.
