Abstract
Penelitian dilatarbelakangi konsep diri pada remaja yang berasal dari keluarga disfungsional. Tujuan penelitian bertujuan memperoleh gambaran konsep diri remaja dari keluarga disfungsional dan merancang layanan konseling kelompok menggunakan pendekatan Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) guna meningkatkan dimensi konsep diri yang rendah. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X dan XI SMA Pasundan 8 Bandung yang berasal dari keluarga disfungsional. Partisipan penelitian sebanyak 104 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket konsep diri berdasarkan delapan dimensi menurut Fitts (1971), yaitu identitas diri, perilaku diri, penerimaan diri, diri fisik, diri moral/etik, diri pribadi, diri keluarga, dan diri sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dimensi konsep diri yang tergolong rendah berada pada aspek perilaku diri dan diri sosial. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dirancang layanan konseling kelompok Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) bertujuan membantu remaja dalam mengubah pola pikir irasional terhadap diri sendiri menjadi lebih rasional, membangun keyakinan positif, serta meningkatkan penerimaan dan kepercayaan diri. Hasil rancangan diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan praktis bagi guru BK dalam memberikan layanan intervensi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan remaja dari keluarga disfungsional. This research was motivated by the issue of low self-concept among adolescents from dysfunctional families. The purpose of this study was to describe the self-concept of adolescents from dysfunctional families and to design a group counseling service using the Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) approach to improve the low dimensions of their self-concept. The research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. The research subjects were 104 students of grades X and XI at SMA Pasundan 8 Bandung who came from dysfunctional families. The instrument used was a self-concept questionnaire based on the eight dimensions proposed by Fitts (1971): identity, behavior, self-acceptance, physical self, moral/ethical self, personal self, family self, and social self. The research findings indicated that the low dimensions of self-concept were behavioral self and social self. Based on these findings, a group counseling service design using REBT was developed to help adolescents change irrational thoughts about themselves into more rational ones, build positive beliefs, and enhance self-acceptance and self-confidence. This service design is expected to serve as a practical guideline for school counselors in providing appropriate intervention services for adolescents from dysfunctional families.
