Abstract
Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya partisipasi aktif siswa dalam pembelajaran di sekolah, yang mengindikasikan lemahnya penguatan modal sosial siswa, khususnya dalam konteks pendidikan nonformal di wilayah Desa Sedong Lor, dari hal tersebut diperlukan upaya untuk mengatasinya, hal ini dilakukan oleh Gerakan Mengajar Desa (GMD). Tujuan penelitian ini menganalisis peran Gerakan Mengajar Desa (GMD) dalam membangun modal sosial siswa di Desa Sedong Lor Kabupaten Cirebon. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara dan analisis dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Gerakan Mengajar Desa (GMD) memberikan peningkatan terhadap aspek kepercayaan diri, interaksi sosial, serta nilai dan norma sosial. Kegiatan tersebut memfasilitasi transformasi sikap siswa dari pasif menjadi aktif dan partisipatif dalam lingkungan belajar yang suportif dan inklusif, hambatan yang dihadapi yaitu rendahnya rasa percaya diri dan sikap pasif siswa serta rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya pendidikan. Kesimpulannya, Gerakan Mengajar Desa (GMD) secara efektif telah memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam membangun modal sosial siswa pada Desa Sedong Lor Kabupaten Cirebon. The research is motivated by the low level of active participation of students in learning at school, which indicates the weak strengthening of students' social capital, especially in the context of non-formal education in the Sedong Lor Village area, from this, efforts are needed to overcome this, this is done by the Village Teaching Movement (GMD). The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of the Village Teaching Movement (GMD) in building students' social capital in Sedong Lor Village, Cirebon Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation analysis. The results show that the Village Teaching Movement (GMD) provides an increase in aspects of self-confidence, social interaction, and social values and norms. The activity facilitates the transformation of students' attitudes from passive to active and participatory in a supportive and inclusive learning environment, the obstacles faced are low self-confidence and passive attitudes of students and low public awareness of the importance of education. In conclusion, the Village Teaching Movement (GMD) has effectively made a real contribution in building students' social capital in Sedong Lor Village, Cirebon Regency.
