    Abstract

    Pendahuluan: Demam tifoid adalah penyakit infeksi akut yang disebabkan oleh bakteri Salmonella Typhi, yang penularannya umumnya melalui konsumsi makanan atau air yang terkontaminasi. Nutrisi yang adekuat memegang peranan krusial dalam mendukung proses penyembuhan anak dan mencegah komplikasi selama infeksi tifoid. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengalaman orang tua dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan nutrisi pada anak dengan demam tifoid. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus untuk mengeksplorasi secara mendalam pengalaman orang tua dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan nutrisi pada pasien anak dengan demam tifoid. Studi kasus ini melibatkan pengumpulan data melalui pedoman wawancara kepada orang tua pasien anak dengan demam tifoid. Hasil dan Pembahasan: Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan tiga tema mengenai pengelaman orang tua dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan nutrisi pada anak dengan demam tifoid yaitu pengelolaan nutrisi selama sakit, perubahan pola makan pasca obat, dan kendala dalam pemenuhan nutrisi. Pemenuhan kebutuhan nutrisi pada anak dengan demam tifoid memerlukan keterlibatan aktif orang tua. Pemberian edukasi tentang diet yang tepat untuk memenuhi kebutuhan nutrisi anak dengan demam tifoid sangat membantu orang tua meningkatkan pemahamannya. Kesimpulan: Pengalaman orang tua yang luas sangat berpengaruh dalam keberhasilan pemenuhan kebutuhan nutrisi anak demam tifoid. Introduction: Typhoid fever is an acute infectious disease caused by Salmonella Typhi bacteria, which is generally transmitted through the consumption of contaminated food or water. Adequate nutrition plays a crucial role in supporting the child's healing process and preventing complications during typhoid infection. Objective: This study aims to determine the experiences of parents in meeting the nutritional needs of children with typhoid fever. Method: This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach to explore in depth the experiences of parents in meeting the nutritional needs of pediatric patients with typhoid fever. This case study involved collecting data through interview guidelines with parents of pediatric patients with typhoid fever. Results and Discussion: The results of this study found three themes regarding the experiences of parents in meeting the nutritional needs of children with typhoid fever, namely nutritional management during illness, changes in diet after medication, and obstacles in meeting nutritional needs. Meeting nutritional needs in children with typhoid fever requires active parental involvement. Providing education about the right diet to meet the nutritional needs of children with typhoid fever is very helpful for parents to improve their understanding. Conclusion: Extensive parental experience greatly influences the success of fulfilling the nutritional needs of children with typhoid fever.
