Abstract
The rapid development of digital technology has made social media a primary source of political information for the younger generation, including university students. However, the high volume of information on social media also brings challenges, such as the spread of hoaxes and biased narratives. This research aims to analyze the level of political literacy among students at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia through the use of Platform X, specifically by examining the influence of content from the NarasiNewsroom account. Using a qualitative approach, this study applies data triangulation through in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis. The findings show that students generally demonstrate a good level of political awareness and knowledge, although their political participation remains basic and limited to formal activities such as voting. The most influential factors in shaping students’ political literacy are the campus environment, peer groups, and social media. The NarasiNewsroom account plays a role in shaping opinions and opening spaces for discourse, encouraging students to think more critically about current political issues. This study suggests that more interactive and engaging approaches are needed to foster active political participation among students, both in digital platforms and real-world settings.
