Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana dampak program sustainability terhadap citra Banyan Tree Bintan sebagai green resort dalam menerapkan berbagai program keberlanjutan yang mencakup aspek lingkungan, sosial, budaya, ekonomi, dan edukasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi terhadap lima aspek utama sustainability. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program-program sustainability seperti Sea Turtle Conservation, Seedlings, Sundown Ritual, serta kemitraan dengan UMKM memberikan dampak positif terhadap pembentukan citra resort sebagai destinasi yang peduli terhadap lingkungan dan masyarakat. Citra positif terbentuk melalui persepsi wisatawan dan masyarakat lokal yang merasakan manfaat langsung dari keberadaan program tersebut. Namun, ditemukan pula bahwa tidak semua program diketahui oleh wisatawan karena kurangnya publikasi, khususnya pada aspek edukasi dan sosial. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya strategis dalam publikasi dan keterlibatan wisatawan secara aktif untuk memperkuat citra green resort secara menyeluruh. This study aims to determine the impact of sustainability programs on the image of Banyan Tree Bintan as a green resort in implementing various sustainability programs that include environmental, social, cultural, economic, and educational aspects. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection methods through interviews, observations, and documentation of the five main aspects of sustainability. The results of the study show that sustainability programs such as Sea Turtle Conservation, Seedlings, Sundown Ritual, and partnerships with MSMEs have a positive impact on the formation of the resort's image as a destination that cares about the environment and society. A positive image is formed through the perception of tourists and local communities who feel the direct benefits of the program. However, it was also found that not all programs are known to tourists due to lack of publication, especially in the educational and social aspects. Therefore, strategic efforts are needed in publication and active tourist involvement to strengthen the image of the green resort as a whole.
