    Abstract

    Penggunaan gadget yang tidak terkontrol dapat dialami sejak usia anak-anak hingga dewasa. Pada anak dengan gangguan spektrum autis, ketergantungan gadget berpotensi menurunkan kemampuan interaksi sosial, menimbulkan gangguan emosional, serta menghambat perkembangan psikomotorik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh penerapan metode Differential Reinforcement of Low Rate (DRL) terhadap penurunan perilaku ketergantungan gadget pada anak dengan gangguan spektrum autis. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain Single Subject Research (SSR) model A-B-A yang terdiri dari tiga fase, yaitu baseline-1, intervensi, dan baseline-2. Observasi dilakukan terhadap frekuensi penyerahan gadget oleh anak kepada guru serta durasi gadget berada di tangan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada fase baseline-1 frekuensi dan durasi masih rendah, kemudian pada fase intervensi keduanya meningkat secara konsisten sesuai target penguatan, dan pada fase baseline-2 efek positif dari intervensi tetap terlihat meskipun perlakuan dihentikan. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa penerapan metode DRL efektif dalam menurunkan frekuensi perilaku ketergantungan gadget secara bertahap, sekaligus mendukung teori behavioristik bahwa penguatan diferensial mampu mengurangi perilaku berlebihan tanpa menghilangkannya secara total. Uncontrolled gadget use can occur from childhood to adulthood. For children with autism spectrum disorder, gadget dependence has the potential to reduce social interaction skills, trigger emotional disturbances, and hinder psychomotor development. This study aims to examine the effect of applying the Differential Reinforcement of Low Rate (DRL) method on reducing gadget dependence behavior in children with autism spectrum disorder. The study employed a quantitative approach with a Single Subject Research (SSR) design, specifically the A-B-A model, consisting of three phases: baseline-1, intervention, and baseline-2. Observations were conducted on two indicators: the frequency of gadget handover from the child to the teacher and the duration of the gadget remaining in the teacher’s possession. The results showed that in the baseline-1 phase, both frequency and duration were still low, then consistently increased during the intervention phase according to reinforcement targets. In the baseline-2 phase, the positive effects of the intervention remained observable even after the treatment was withdrawn. These findings demonstrate that the DRL method is effective in gradually reducing gadget dependence behavior, while also supporting behaviorist theory that differential reinforcement can decrease excessive behaviors without eliminating them entirely.
