    Abstract

    Kepadatan penduduk menjadi salah satu topik masalah yang dihadapi Indonesia, termasuk Kota Bandung. Beberapa daerah di kota Bandung masuk ke dalam zona padat penduduk yang tinggi, salah satunya adalah Kecamatan Kiaracondong. Untuk mewujudkan pembangunan perumahan dan permukiman berkelanjutan, serta menanggapi permasalahan padat penduduk, pemerintah merencanakan Apartemen Rakyat yang akan dibangun pada 13 lokasi di Kota Bandung, salah satunya adalah Kecamatan Kiaracondong. Program ini diharapkan dapat memenuhi kebutuhan hunian untuk masyarakat, khususnya masyarakat berpenghasilan rendah. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memecahkan masalah penduduk di Kota Bandung dengan merancang rumah susun sederhana milik yang menerapkan tema arsitektur tropis. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui pengamatan, studi literatur, dan wawancara. Dari perancangan ini, hasil yang diperoleh adalah hunian vertikal dengan ruang publik yang memenuhi kebutuhan warga. Population density is one of the problems faced by Indonesia, including Bandung City. Several areas in the city of Bandung are included in the high population density zone, one of which is Kiaracondong District. To realize sustainable housing and settlement development, as well as respond to the problem of overcrowding, the government plans “Apartemen Rakyat” to be built in 13 locations in Bandung City, one of which is Kiaracondong District. This program is expected to meet the housing needs of low-income people. This article aims to solve the population problem in Bandung City by designing a simple apartment house that applies the theme of tropical architecture. Research data was collected through observations, literature studies, and interviews. From this design, the results obtained are vertical housing with public spaces that meet the needs of residents.
