Abstract
Keterampilan berpikir komputasional merupakan salah satu keterampilan yang penting dimiliki oleh peserta didik pada abad ke-21 ini. Salah satu cara untuk mengimplementasikan keterampilan tersebut dalam pembelajaran adalah dengan mengintegrasikannya ke dalam pembelajaran STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, dan Mathematics). Namun, masih banyak guru yang mengalami kesulitan dalam mengintegrasikan keterampilan berpikir komputasional ke dalam proses pembelajaran. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan desain pembelajaran STEM berbasis proyek pembuatan oven tenaga surya yang dapat memfasilitasi pengembangan keterampilan berpikir komputasional peserta didik sekolah dasar, khususnya pada aspek dekomposisi, abstraksi, algoritma, dan debugging. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Educational Design Research (EDR) model McKenney dan Reeves yang meliputi tahap analisis dan eksplorasi, desain dan konstruksi, serta evaluasi dan refleksi. Melalui metode EDR, penelitian ini menghasilkan rancangan produk berupa desain pembelajaran oven tenaga surya yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli, dan setelah direvisi, diuji coba sebanyak dua siklus. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba terbatas (evaluasi beta), peserta didik terlibat aktif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran yang mencerminkan empat aspek berpikir komputasional, yaitu dekomposisi, abstraksi, algoritma, dan debugging. Produk akhir dari penelitian ini berupa desain pembelajaran STEM oven tenaga surya yang telah melalui proses validasi, revisi, dan uji coba. Computational thinking skills are among the essential competencies that students need to possess in the 21st century. One way to implement these skills in learning is by integrating them into STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education. However, many teachers still face challenges in incorporating computational thinking skills into the teaching and learning process. Based on this issue, this study aims to develop a project-based STEM learning design focused on the construction of a solar oven, which can facilitate the development of computational thinking skills among elementary school students, particularly in the aspects of decomposition, abstraction, algorithmic thinking, and debugging. This study employs the Educational Design Research (EDR) method following the McKenney and Reeves model, which includes the stages of analysis and exploration, design and construction, and evaluation and reflection. Through the EDR method, this study produced a learning design product in the form of a solar oven learning design that was validated by experts, revised, and subsequently tested in two cycles. Based on the results of the limited trial (beta evaluation), students actively participated in learning activities that reflected the four aspects of computational thinking: decomposition, abstraction, algorithmic thinking, and debugging. The final product of this study is a project-based STEM learning design for the solar oven that has undergone validation, revision, and field testing.
