Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kebugaran jasmani dan perkembangan personal siswa sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif korelasional, populasi dalam penelitian ini merupakan siswa-siswi SD Negeri 2 Girinata, SD Negeri 2 Cisaat dan SD Negeri 2 Pegagan dengan sampel siswa kelas IV, V, dan VI yang berjumlah 200 siswa dari beberapa sekolah dasar. Data kebugaran jasmani diukur menggunakan Tes Kesegaran Jasmani Indonesia (TKJI), sedangkan perkembangan personal diukur melalui Social-Emotional Questionnaire for Grades 4–6 (SEQ G4–6). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kebugaran jasmani dan perkembangan personal dengan koefisien korelasi Spearman sebesar 0.185 (p = 0.009). Meskipun hubungan tersebut tergolong lemah, temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa kebugaran jasmani berkontribusi terhadap perkembangan personal siswa, yang mencakup aspek kepercayaan diri, tanggung jawab, dan kemampuan sosial. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar sekolah dan orang tua lebih memperhatikan pentingnya aktivitas fisik dalam mendukung perkembangan personal anak. The method used is quantitative correlation, the population in this study is students of SD Negeri 2 Girinata, SD Negeri 2 Cisaat and SD Negeri 2 Pegagan with a sample of students in grades IV, V, and VI totaling 200 students from several elementary schools. Physical fitness data was measured using the Indonesian Physical Freshness Test (TKJI), while personal development was measured through the Social-Emotional Questionnaire for Grades 4–6 (SEQ G4– 6). The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant positive relationship between physical fitness and personal development with a Spearman correlation coefficient of 0.185 (p = 0.009). Although the relationship is weak, these findings indicate that physical fitness contributes to students' personal development, which includes aspects of self-confidence, responsibility, and social skills. This study suggests that schools and parents pay more attention to the importance of physical activity in supporting children's personal development.
