    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan suatu treatment dan untuk mengetahui kemampuan awal mahasiswa dalam bidang desain teknik menggunakan software CAD sebelum mengikuti pelatihan dan setelah mengikuti pelatihan menggunakan software CAD Solidworks. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Desain Pre-eksperimental dengan desain one group pretest-posttest design. Treatment dilakukan pada mahasiswa Pendidikan Teknik Mesin pada bidang desain teknik menggunakan software CAD. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 30 peserta. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket dan alat tes. Alat tes yang digunakan berupa tes tulis (pilihan ganda) dan tes kinerja (performance test). Metode pengujian yang digunakan yaitu menggunakan uji N-Gain dan paired sample t-Test. Kedua pengujian ini digunakan untuk menilai signifikansi peningkatan hasil belajar dan tingkat efektivitas treatment yang dilakukan. Penelitian ini menghasilkan data peningkatan kemampuan mahasiswa dengan suatu perlakuan (pelatihan) CAD menggunakan Solidworks pada materi desain simulasi 3D mekanis. Hasil treatment yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan pada data hasil uji N-Gain dengan rata-rata N-gain score 0,59, hal tersebut membuktikan bahwa peningkatan hasil belajar relatif meningkat dan tingkat efektivitas treatment masuk kedalam kategori “Sedang”. Kemudian hasil paired sample t-Test menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan pada kemampuan mahasiswa dalam bidang desain teknik setelah mengikuti pelatihan menggunakan software CAD Solidworks. This research aims to analyze the improvement from a treatment and to determine the initial abilities of students in the field of technical design using CAD software, both before and after training with Solidworks CAD software. This study used a Pre-Experimental Design model with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The treatment was administered to 30 Mechanical Engineering Education students in the field of technical design using CAD software. The instruments used were questionnaires and tests, which included a multiple-choice written test and a performance test. The analytical methods used were the N-Gain test and a paired sample t-Test. Both tests were used to assess the significance of the increase in learning outcomes and the effectiveness of the treatment. The research yielded data on the improvement in students' abilities after a CAD treatment (training) using Solidworks for 3D mechanical simulation design. The results from the N-Gain test showed an average score of 0.59, which indicates a relatively moderate increase in learning outcomes and a "moderate" category for the treatment's effectiveness. Furthermore, the paired sample t-Test results concluded that there was a significant increase in students' technical design abilities after the Solidworks CAD training.
