    Abstract

    Keterampilan berpikir aljabar penting dikenalkan sejak sekolah dasar sebagai bekal di jenjang selanjutnya. Namun, berdasarkan studi pendahuluan siswa kelas II masih mengalami hambatan belajar pada pembelajaran aljabar materi pola bukan bilangan berupa hambatan epistemologis, ontogenik dan didaktis. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan desain pembelajaran yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang desain didaktis berbasis pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) pada materi pola bukan bilangan guna memfasilitasi keterampilan berpikir aljabar siswa kelas II sekolah dasar dan mengurangi hambatan belajar yang dialami siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas IIC & IID SDN Mangkubumi, Kota Tasikmalaya. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Didactical Design Research (DDR) yang meliputi tiga tahap: analisis prospektif sebelum pembelajaran, metapedadidaktik, dan retrospektif mengaitkan analisis prospektif dan metapedadidaktik. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui tes diagnostik, wawancara, observasi, studi dokumentasi dan angket respon. Berdasarkan hambatan yang ditemukan, peneliti menyusun Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) beserta antisipasi didaktis pedagogis (ADP) dan desain didaktis yang diimplementasikan dalam dua pertemuan. Desain didaktis awal yang dirancang dapat mengurangi hambatan belajar, tetapi berdasarkan hasil implementasi dan respon siswa masih diperlukan perbaikan sehingga disusun desain didaktis revisi. Desain didaktis revisi terbukti lebih efektif karena dapat meniminalisir kesulitan sekaligus meningkatkan kemampuan siswa, meskipun masih dapat dikembangkan agar lebih maksimal. Algebraic thinking skills are important to be introduced from the elementary school level as preparation for higher levels of education. However, based on a preliminary study, second-grade students still experience learning obstacles in algebra, particularly in non-numeric pattern material, in the form of epistemological, ontogenic, and didactical obstacles. Therefore, an appropriate learning design is needed. This study aims to design a didactical design based on the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach for non-numeric pattern material to facilitate algebraic thinking skills among second-grade elementary school students and to reduce the learning obstacles they experience. This study was conducted in classes IIC & IID of SDN Mangkubumi, Tasikmalaya City. This research method uses the Didactic Design Research (DDR) approach which includes three stages: prospective analysis before learning, metapedadidactic analysis, and retrospective analysis linking the prospective and metapedadidactic analyses. Data were collected through diagnostic tests, interviews, observations, document analysis, and response questionnaires. Based on the identified obstacles, the researcher developed a Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) along with didactical-pedagogical anticipations (ADP) and implemented the didactical design in two learning sessions. The initial didactic design was able to reduce learning barriers, but based on implementation results and student responses, improvements were still needed, leading to a revised didactic design. The revised didactic design proved more effective because it minimized difficulties and improved student abilities, although it still has room for further development.
