Abstract
Permasalahan global tentang ketergantungan masyarakat pada energi fosil mendorong diperlukannya inovasi energi terbarukan seperti sistem Floating Solar Photovoltaic (FPV). Akan tetapi, kinerja dari sistem FPV saja sangat dipengaruhi oleh perubahan iradiasi matahari sehingga output daya yang dihasilkan tidak dapat diprediksi, dan hanya mampu beroperasi ketika siang hari saja. Untuk meningkatkan keandalan dan efisiensi dari sistem FPV, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan menganalisis secara teknis dan ekonomi dari sistem FPV yang dihibrida dengan Wave Energy Converter (WEC) berskala kecil di wilayah pantai Pulau Jawa. Metode penelitian ini dilakukan melalui simulasi menggunakan software HOMER pada empat lokasi penelitian, yaitu Pantai Jember, Tuban, Sukabumi, dan Indramayu yang merepresentasikan pantai utara dan selatan Pulau Jawa. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa sistem di Pantai Jember memiliki nilai Net Present Cost (NPC) terendah sebesar $92.443 dan Cost of Energy (COE) sebesar $0,0993/kWh, menjadikannya lokasi paling layak secara ekonomi. Sementara itu, lokasi Pantai Indramayu menunjukkan produksi energi tertinggi namun memiliki biaya paling besar dan persentase output yang hanya didominasi oleh FPV. Analisis sensitivitas terhadap perubahan variabel sumber daya energi mengonfirmasi bahwa sistem di Pantai Jember tetap tangguh secara teknis dan ekonomis. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa sistem HFPV-WV memiliki potensi besar khususnya di wilayah pantai selatan Pulau Jawa. Global issues surrounding society's dependence on fossil fuels have driven the need for renewable energy innovations such as Floating Solar Photovoltaic (FPV) systems. However, the performance of standalone FPV systems is greatly affected by changes in solar irradiation, resulting in unpredictable power output and limiting operation to daytime hours only. To enhance the reliability and efficiency of FPV systems, this study aims to design and analyze the technical and economic aspects of an FPV system hybridized with a small-scale Wave Energy Converter (WEC) in coastal areas of Java Island. The research method involves simulations using the HOMER software at four study locations: Jember Beach, Tuban Beach, Sukabumi Beach, and Indramayu Beach, which represent the northern and southern coasts of Java Island. The simulation results indicate that the system at Jember Beach has the lowest Net Present Cost (NPC) of $92,443 and a Cost of Energy (COE) of $0.0993/kWh, making it the most economically viable location. Meanwhile, the Indramayu Beach location shows the highest energy production but has the highest costs and an output percentage dominated solely by FPV. Sensitivity analysis of changes in energy resource variables confirms that the system at Jember Beach remains technically and economically robust. This study demonstrates that the HFPV-WV system has great potential, particularly in the southern coastal region of Java Island.
