    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara dukungan keluarga dan kepercayaan diri anak usia dini. Latar belakang penelitian didasari pada pentingnya peran keluarga sebagai lingkungan pertama dalam pembentukan karakter dan rasa percaya diri anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh orang tua yang memiliki anak usia 3–6 tahun yang bersekolah di PAUD Kecamatan Antapani Wetan, berjumlah 176 orang. Sampel sebanyak 81 responden dipilih secara acak menggunakan rumus Slovin. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner dukungan keluarga dan kuesioner kepercayaan diri anak usia dini yang telah melalui uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson untuk melihat hubungan antara kedua variabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara dukungan keluarga dan kepercayaan diri anak usia dini dengan nilai koefisien korelasi r=0,694 dan p<0,05. Artinya, semakin tinggi dukungan keluarga, semakin tinggi pula tingkat kepercayaan diri anak. Temuan ini menguatkan pandangan bahwa dukungan emosional, penghargaan, bantuan instrumental, dan informasi dari keluarga sangat berhubungan terhadap perkembangan kepercayaan diri anak. Kesimpulan penelitian menegaskan bahwa dukungan keluarga memiliki peran strategis dalam menumbuhkan kepercayaan diri anak sejak dini, mulai dari dukungan informasional, dukungan emosional, dukungan penghargaan, dan dukungan instrumental. Disarankan agar orang tua secara konsisten memberikan dukungan instrumental pada anak dan pihak sekolah memperkuat kolaborasi dengan keluarga untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang kondusif bagi perkembangan sosial-emosional anak. This study aims to analyze the relationship between family support and self-confidence in early childhood. The background of this research is based on the importance of the family’s role as the first environment in shaping children’s character and self-confidence. This study employed a quantitative method with a correlational design. The research population consisted of all parents with children aged 3–6 years enrolled in early childhood education (PAUD) in Antapani Wetan District, totaling 176 individuals. A sample of 81 respondents was randomly selected using Slovin’s formula. The research instruments included a family support questionnaire and an early childhood self-confidence questionnaire, both of which had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using Pearson’s correlation test to examine the relationship between the two variables. The results showed a significant positive relationship between family support and early childhood self-confidence, with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.694 and p < 0.05. This means that the higher the family support, the higher the level of children’s self-confidence. These findings reinforce the view that emotional support, appreciation, instrumental assistance, and informational support from the family are strongly related to the development of children’s self-confidence. The study concludes that family support plays a strategic role in fostering children’s self-confidence from an early age, particularly through informational, emotional, appreciation, and instrumental support. It is recommended that parents consistently provide instrumental support for their children and that schools strengthen collaboration with families to create a conducive environment for children’s socio-emotional development.
