Abstract
Stabilitas lereng merupakan aspek krusial dalam rekayasa geoteknik, terutama pada konstruksi timbunan di atas tanah lempung lunak yang memiliki daya dukung rendah serta potensi deformasi besar. Kegagalan lereng tidak hanya menimbulkan kerugian ekonomi, tetapi juga membahayakan keselamatan, sehingga analisis yang komprehensif diperlukan untuk meminimalkan risiko tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja lereng dengan meninjau faktor keamanan dan deformasi baik pada kondisi jangka pendek (short-term) maupun jangka panjang (long-term). Metode penelitian dilakukan melalui dua tahap utama. Pertama, pengujian laboratorium dilakukan untuk memperoleh parameter sifat fisik dan mekanik tanah, meliputi uji UCT, Triaxial UU, serta uji Permeabilitas. Data hasil laboratorium ini kemudian digunakan sebagai dasar input dalam tahap kedua, yaitu analisis numerik menggunakan perangkat lunak Plaxis 2D. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada kondisi short-term, lereng mengalami deformasi yang relatif besar dan nilai faktor keamanan berada pada kondisi yang lebih rendah. Sementara itu, pada kondisi long-term, deformasi berangsur menurun dan faktor keamanan mengalami peningkatan seiring dengan redistribusi tegangan dalam tanah. Kesimpulan utama dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa perencanaan lereng pada tanah lunak tidak dapat hanya mengandalkan analisis jangka pendek, tetapi harus memperhitungkan hasil uji laboratorium, tahapan konstruksi, serta perilaku jangka panjang untuk memperoleh desain yang stabil dan aman. Slope stability is a crucial aspect of geotechnical engineering, particularly in embankment construction on soft clay soils that have low bearing capacity and high deformation potential. Slope failure not only causes economic losses but also poses safety hazards, making comprehensive analysis essential to minimize such risks. This study aims to evaluate slope performance by examining safety factors and deformations under both short-term and long-term conditions. The research method was carried out in two main stages. First, laboratory testing was conducted to obtain the physical and mechanical properties of the soil, including Unconfined Compression Test (UCT), Unconsolidated Undrained Triaxial Test (UU), and permeability tests. The laboratory results were then used as the basis for the second stage, namely numerical analysis using Plaxis 2D software. The results indicate that under short-term conditions, the slope undergoes relatively large deformations and exhibits lower safety factor values. In contrast, under long-term conditions, deformations gradually decrease and the safety factor improves due to stress redistribution within the soil. The main conclusion of this study is that slope design on soft clay soils cannot rely solely on short-term analysis, but must also consider laboratory test results, construction stages, and long-term behavior to achieve a stable and safe design.
