Abstract
Kelangsungan lingkungan dipengaruhi oleh perilaku manusia. Berdasarkan studi pendahuluan lingkungan tidak terjaga dengan baik salah satunya terjadi di lingkungan sekolah di SD, sehingga dipandang perlu upaya untuk menumbuhkan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan siswa yang diharapakan kelangsungan lingkungan terjaga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang bahan ajar yang membantu guru dalam menumbuhkan karakter peduli lingkungan di sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah Education Design Research (EDR) dengan mengacu pada model model McKenney & Reeves sebagai prosedur penelitian dengan tahapan yakni: (1) analisis dan eksplorasi masalah dan kebutuhan oleh peneliti dan praktisi secara kolaboratif, (2) mengembangan desain produk didasarkan pada teori, kriteria bahan ajar dan proses kreatif peneliti, (3) evaluasi dan refleksi dalam peningkatan kualitas produk yang dirancang. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, studi dokumen, judgment (validasi ahli), dan angket respon pengguna yakni pendidik dan peserta didik. Data yang didapatkan kemudian dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Produk dari penelitian pengembangan ini berupa e-modul elektronik ekoliterasi dalam menumbuhkan karakter peduli lingkungan yang dapat digunakan di sekolah dasar. Hasil penilaian dari ahli media dan ahli materi menyatakan bahan ajar ini “layak” untuk mengenalkan ekoliterasi yang dapat menumbuhkan karakter peduli lingkungan dengan perolehan nilai 79,5%. Skor perolehan tingkat karakter kepedulian lingkungan pra penggunaan e-modul sebesar 58% sedangkan setelah penggunaan e-modul karakter peduli lingkungan siswa berada ada poin 90%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut e-modul menumbuhkan skor kepedulian lingkungan dengan persentase 32% Berdasarkan hasil respon pengguna, bahan ajar dinilai membantu mengenal ekoliterasi dalam menumbuhkan karakter peduli lingkungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan penggunaan e-modul ekoliterasi mampu menumbuhkan karakter peduli lingkungan pada siswa sehingga bahan ajar e-modul ekoliterasi dapat digunkan untuk memfasilitasi pengenalan ekoliterasi di sekolah dasar. Environmental sustainability is influenced by human behavior. Based on preliminary studies, the environment is not well maintained, one example being in elementary school environments, so efforts to foster environmental awareness among students are considered necessary in order to maintain environmental sustainability. This study aims to design teaching materials that help teachers foster environmental awareness in elementary schools. The method used is Education Design Research (EDR) based on the McKenney & Reeves model as a research procedure with the following stages: (1) collaborative analysis and exploration of problems and needs by researchers and practitioners, (2) development of product design based on theory, teaching material criteria, and the researcher's creative process, (3) evaluation and reflection to improve the quality of the designed product. Data was collected through interviews, observations, document studies, expert validation, and user response surveys involving educators and students. The data obtained was then analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The product of this development research is an electronic e-module on eco-literacy to foster environmental awareness, which can be used in elementary schools. The evaluation results from media experts and content experts indicate that this instructional material is “appropriate” for introducing eco-literacy that can foster an environmentally conscious character, with a score of 79.5%. The pre-use score for the level of environmental consciousness was 58%, while after using the e-module, students' environmental consciousness reached 90%. Based on these results, the e-module increased environmental awareness scores by 32%. Based on user responses, the teaching materials were considered helpful in introducing eco-literacy and fostering environmental awareness. The research results indicate that the use of the e-module on eco-literacy is able to foster an environmentally conscious character in students, so the e-module teaching materials on eco-literacy can be used to facilitate the introduction of eco-literacy in elementary schools.
