    Abstract

    Regulasi emosi dan komunikasi interpersonal merupakan kemampuan yang perlu dimiliki siswa remaja tunarungu. Masalah yang dihadapi tunarungu di usia remaja selain kondisi pendengaran yang terhambat adalah masa transisi menuju dewasa yang terjadi gejolak emosi dan berbagai konflik. Kemampuan regulasi emosi dan komunikasi interpersonal sangat penting dalam menghadapi konflik tersebut, sehingga diperlukan perhatian. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui hubungan antara regulasi emosi dengan komunikasi interpersonal pada siswa remaja tunarungu di SLBN Cicendo Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian non-parametik dengan metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik korelasional Spearman Rank. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 49 siswa remaja tunarungu yang duduk dijenjang SMP dan SMA di SLBN Cicendo Kota Bandung. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa kuesioner regulasi emosi dan kuesioner komunikasi interpersonal yang berskala ordinal. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan rxy = 0,631 dengan nilai ρ = 0,000 (ρ < 0,05), artinya terdapat hubungan yang signifikan ke arah positif antara regulasi emosi dengan komunikasi interpersonal pada siswa remaja tunarungu. Semakin tinggi kemampuan regulasi emosi, maka semakin tinggi kemampuan komunikasi interpersonalnya. Secara keseluruhan, kemampuan regulasi emosi dan komunikasi interpersonal tidak jauh berbeda pada setiap aspek. Pada regulasi emosi, persentase terbesar pada kategori sedang, sedangkan komunikasi interpersonal pada kategori rendah. Hasil penelitian berimplikasi pada pembelajaran yang tidak hanya berfokus pada keterampilan akademik, tetapi pada keterampilan non-akademik, seperti kemampuan regulasi emosi dan kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal. Emotional regulation and interpersonal communication are skills that deaf adolescents need to have. In addition to hearing impairments, deaf adolescents face emotional turmoil and various conflicts during the transition to adulthood. Emotional regulation and interpersonal communication skills are very important in dealing with these conflicts, so they require attention. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between emotional regulation and interpersonal communication among deaf adolescents at SLBN Cicendo in Bandung City. This is a non-parametric study using a descriptive quantitative research method with Spearman Rank correlation technique. The study subjects consisted of 49 deaf adolescents enrolled in junior high school and senior high school at SLBN Cicendo in Bandung City. The instruments used were an emotional regulation questionnaire and an interpersonal communication questionnaire with an ordinal scale. The results of this study showed rxy = 0.631 with a value of ρ = 0.000 (ρ < 0.05), meaning that there was a significant positive relationship between emotional regulation and interpersonal communication in deaf adolescent students. The higher the emotional regulation ability, the higher the interpersonal communication ability. Overall, emotional regulation ability and interpersonal communication ability are not significantly different across all aspects. In emotional regulation, the largest percentage is in the moderate category, while in interpersonal communication, it is in the low category. The study results imply that education should not only focus on academic skills but also on non-academic skills, such as emotional regulation ability and interpersonal communication ability.
