PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MEDIA DIGITAL INTERAKTIF EDUMA TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP ALAM SEMESTA ANAK USIA 5-6 TAHUN

    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media digital interaktif Eduma terhadap pemahaman konsep alam semesta anak usia 5–6 tahun. Penelitian menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design yakni menggunakan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol sebagai pembanding. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh anak usia 5–6 tahun di TK Nurul Hikmah Sejahtera, dengan sampel sebanyak 16 anak, terdiri dari 8 anak di kelas eksperimen dan 8 anak di kelas kontrol. Tes yang menggunakan lembar kerja anak dengan Instrumen penilaian berupa lembar observasi, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan dengan bantuan program SPSS 16, melalui uji N-Gain, uji normalitas, homogenitas, Paired sample T-test serta Independent Sample T-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) pemahaman konsep alam semesta anak pada kelas eksperimen sebelum menggunakan media Eduma masih rendah, (2) setelah perlakuan terjadi peningkatan signifikan, (3) pemahaman anak di kelas kontrol sebelum pembelajaran tanpa Eduma berada pada kategori sedang (4) setelah pembelajaran tanpa Eduma peningkatannya tidak signifikan, (5) efektivitas media Eduma lebih tinggi dibandingkan pembelajaran tanpa Eduma (6) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol, dan (7) penggunaan media digital interaktif Eduma terbukti berpengaruh serta dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep alam semesta anak usia dini This study aims to determine the effect of the use of Eduma interactive digital media on the understanding of the concept of the universe of children aged 5-6 years. The study used a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design design, namely using the experimental class and the control class as a comparison. The study population was all children aged 5-6 years at Nurul Hikmah Sejahtera Kindergarten, with a sample of 16 children, consisting of 8 children in the experimental class and 8 children in the control class. The test used a child's worksheet with an assessment instrument in the form of an observation sheet, while data analysis was carried out with the help of the SPSS 16 program, through the N-Gain test, normality test, homogeneity, Paired sample T-test and Independent Sample T-Test. The results of the study showed that: (1) the understanding of the concept of the universe of children in the experimental class before using Eduma media was still low, (2) after treatment there was a significant increase, (3) the understanding of children in the control class before learning without Eduma was in the moderate category (4) after learning without Eduma the increase was not significant, (5) the effectiveness of Eduma media was higher than learning without Eduma (6) there was a significant difference in learning outcomes between the experimental and control classes, and (7) the use of Eduma interactive digital media was proven to be influential and could improve the understanding of the concept of the universe of early childhood.
